Oh, and BTW... best new song!!!

You cannot disagree with this ballad
I have more head on my forehead
    Your argument is invalid
    There is no critique
    You must join the clique

Sing its praise across the coast
This is how a unicorn ends this post

Sompony has a crush, and you can't convince me otherwise.

It's good... or at least I think so and I hope any of you out there that have taken the time to watch the new movie premiere think so too.

    The Worst Kind of Dream

It isn't a nightmare, because no matter how frightening those might be in the moment, eventually you wake up and can take comfort in the realization that none of it was real.

Achivments in Madness · 1:33am Apr 13th, 2015

So, just a few days ago I hit two amazing milestones in one day. One of those was acquiring my 100th follower... well actually I've had more in total, but some of those have fallen off over time, so this was my first experience having a full 100 all at once. A specially shout out goes to Ltmajordude for being lucky number 100, but I truly want to thank every last one of you all the same. As much as I'd like to think numbers don't matter, that I'd still be doing this if there were less than even 10 of you, knowing that there are others who appreciate my writing certainly always helps give me the resolve to work through my own self-doubts and reluctance.

Moving along, my other achievement was of course finally completing Elements of Insanity, my longest standing incomplete fic. When I first started that story, I never really expected go much of anywhere with it. It wasn't even supposed to ever be a story to begin with. Instead it was just a silly little song about Twilight starting down her own little path of madness. For whatever reason I decided to try writing a scene around that song mostly just as a framing device to give it context, but in doing so I found myself with what felt like the first chapter of a larger story, and before I knew quite how I was dreaming up what kind of ponies she could possible recruit to help her in such an insane endeavor. Of course updates would often prove infrequent along the way, in part due to the fact that I was often flying by the seat of my pants and just making it all up as I went, with very little concept of what if anything I was ultimately trying to accomplish -- though more than a little neglectful laziness factored in as well, and for that I will always be sorry. It's been far too long a ride, and I'm not sure if the results could ever be worth the wait, though I'd at least like to think it all worked out in the end regardless.

And that brings me to the question of what next; where do I go from here? Obviously I keep writing, finish my other stories and start new ones, but should I try doing anything else besides just that? Writing out the previous paragraph and reminiscing back over the journey I've personally been through with that story got me considering if I could maybe try sharing some of that with all of you. So I was thinking I might try starting up a blogs series, a sort of retrospective on Elements of Insanity and going into some behind the scene details of my creative process throughout. I don't know though, is that something any of you out there would actually be interested in seeing, or would it only be me wasting everyone's time with overly self-indulgent rambling?

Anyway, thanks again to every one for all your support.

It was a long time coming, but worth the wait.

I'd be interested in seeing your writing process.
