Hey all, just felt like I could take a minute and look at pony stuff while dropping folks I know a line. I wish this was a blog telling you that new chapters of Mares is up, or will be soon. Unfortunately it is not that blog, but hopefully I will be getting some new chapters out, or at least something new to add.
While I haven't been very involved with the fandom, I have been involved with the show, and I am really happy about the S5 premier. It was really well done, and very mature I think considering the subject matter there was. We had: brainwashing, mind control, mass deceptions, and of course my favorite: psychological trauma and torture. I mean, yikes, were the writers in a dark place or something writing that. Some of those ponies were down right uber creepy, and I fear I may have shot a few before I knew what was going on. I personally like the map sending the girls to different parts of Equestria for fun and adventure. Reminds me of Quantum Leap, lol.
So, we have a couple new pretty faces to look at. Sugar Bell is really cute. I like her design and the VA did a nice job. Now, Night Glider, yowza! Total babe, I thought she was cute when she was all bland, then she got her cutie mark back, and turned into like a combination of Luna and Spitfire; that combo will knock you out fast. Double Diamond was cool, too. It is nice to see a strong stallion figure pop up every now and again. While being COMPLETELY white, I still liked his later design and the guy doing his voice was cracking me up.
What is people's problem with Pinkie Pie? I fucking love her! She's witty, funny and cleaver, I love her mane and she is pretty damn sexy in her own way. I really enjoyed writing her chapter in the Mares series and have thought about doing a solo story about her on several occasions. I dunno, the map gag was hilarious, the lines she had when she lost her cutie mark were great as well. Guess I am too much of a pony fan to see her flaws.
Anyway, thanks for reading and keeping up. I hope anyone that still reads the older Mares chapters still finds as much enjoyment as they did when they first read them. I am not done with the series, just need to find that place I can go to to get the creative juices flowing and get some writing done. Feel free to leave comments and tell everyone what you thought of the season 5 premier.
If only it had an ending where everyone died an agonising death and Celestia committed suicide out of grief, it would've been almost as depressing as my fanfics! Oh-ho!
And I never watched the premiere because, you know, I actually have a life! *Goes back to playing dating sims and fussing over Magic: The Gathering cards.*
