I'm pretty sure they'll understand if during work you need to stop and write pony based fictional tales. All you have to do is tell them "Yo, I gotta stop working for a while so I can write this Pony fanfiction." and they'll say "Yes Mister Nebula, what ever you say just please don't write us out of the story." and you say "Fine, but only if I get paid triple what I'm being paid while I write."
Huzzah! Now you can buy your readers things, to make up for the longer update times, of course.
I want to be upset by the prospect of more time between chapters.... but I'm too hypnotized by the dancing kitty...
