hey you you should really read about my thoughts on the season 5 opener · 12:32am Apr 6th, 2015
so I watched the 5th season opener and I actually found myself liking it more than I thought but at the same time I found it kind of funny that it gave a message of anti conformity (which you could read in any number of ways I myself saw it as leaning towards anti socialist communist ideals but that's just me) where we should all be proud of what makes us unique buuuuuut in the MLP world once you get your cutie mark and find out what your special talent you most than conform and only do that one thing I'm thinking about it and I can't think of a pony who does something outside of their talent I mean that in itself is a vary communist ideal you are assigned a job or in this case a talent and that is the only thing you can ever do so by actually having your cutie mark removed you can in fact do anything this was actually brought up at the end of the episode 12 season 1 call of the cutie but this all just my opinion on what I thought about the opener. also I have to point the irony of an anti conformity message and the idea of a society where everyone is equal in a world that is ruled by a monarchy.
P.S. what happened to having really good origin stories for villains? it just always bug me when a villain is just evil, but its never explained why or what made them who they are? to me this is really odd because a good origin story can make a villain immortal as opposed to just good and why can't we have more villains that represent the darkest aspects of the heroes they most face?
i think we'll get more of Starlight in the future

only if she teams up with Trixie who I think is actually the closest the show has come to having a well done antagonist outside of luna that is.
