    Happy New Year 2017

To my friends, followers, and people who stumbled upon my page,

I wish you all a Happy New Year from Texas.

Not much to say about the up coming year, all I can hope from the world of fanfiction is that I can finish up my current Kantai Collection ideas and maybe do some more MLP.

Thoughts on the Premiere · 4:22pm Apr 4th, 2015

To my friends, followers, and people who stumbled upon my page,

A new year and a new season and one that is shaping up to be interesting to say the least.

First though on the premiere is that someone has been reading Orwell or at least been paying attention to Marx and Co., second thoughts is Starlight Glimmer is going to be an interesting villain... and that the fandom will hand wave her theft of the cutie marks and find a way to blame Celestia.

I do have to say that there is a lot more world building in this episode, and the whole season is shaping up to add a lot to the world as we know it and that everyone's headcanons are going to be destroyed. So far in my case not much has changed, Starlight's village is going to be in the Western Bounds Territory, basically the wild west so not much in the way of official interference. A cutie mark is far tighter to a pony's own magic than previously thought, as removing it seems to have a detrimental affect to a pony's health. I would also consider removing or altering a mark to be taboo in Equestriani society, or at least just isn't talked about. Before you ask, Twilight got away with it in the S3 finale because it was an accident and tried to fix it.

Oh and Starlight Glimmer is a wanted mare in all of Equestria and has a sizable bounty on her head.

I'm looking forward to see the rest of the 26 episode season, and from the one preview that was shown, Sweetie Belle might gain her mark.

Huh. Finally a lasting villain...

Also... while some attribute the "Harsher in Hindsight" trope to "STory of the Blanks", I almost attribute it to another fan-work... a more divisive and despised one.

2945390 TVTropes, son. This already has a recap page.

Didn't see anything about "Harsher in Hindsight" but I did.see.that I wasn't the only one to think the staff's tuning fork shape reminds me of the Lance of Longinus from Evangelion... Which makes the.removal of.the.marks a lot scarier.

"Does This Remind You of Anything?", then.

2946633 Comparing it to such a scenario, yes.

It makes me sad the new episode is compared to it... but happy it's basically in that comparison stating to the fandom "yeah... they wouldn't do this".

Is it better than Season 4's finale?
