    1000 bally views!

    Hello chaps and chappettes,

I think my position as a C-list brony celebrity is well assured, as my beloved Magnum Opus "So Long and Thanks for All the Ponies" has reached 1000 views! Or at least, one chapter therein has. Whatever, it's still an achievement.

    Happy Towel Day!

Blah blah delays blah blah apologies blah blah busy blah blah. Whatever, you have heard it all before. I take more than a month to type out barely over 2,000 words, I bitch a bit about how busy I am, you all read the chapter and the get on with your lives. La dee da. Except this time, Towel Day happened. I donned my dressing gown, turned the lights off, grasped my mug of tea, set “Journey of the

And Another Thing... · 3:39am Apr 3rd, 2015

Hello! My word it has been a while hasn't it? Go on, sit down, let's chat, for I have news.

First off, thanks to anybody who reads this, as it's a sign that you consider my output worth clicking a link for. Good for you! I haven't been very active of late, and the obvious reason is that with So Long and Thanks for All the Ponies out of the way, I haven't had any pony related writing to share. However, the obvious reason is not always the correct one. Hence my third point. But first, my second:

Over the next two weeks I am going to be taking a good hard look at SLaTfAtP, and polishing it up for better consumption. Having read a review or two, and not being totally without a self-critical eye, I can see that my early chapters especially need some work. It won't be a while new story by any means, but there will be a few new jokes, a few undernourished bits will be filled out and a few grammar and continuity smeg-ups will be ironed out. If that is enough to persuade you to re-read, then great! If not, maybe it's enough for you to recommend it a little more unreservedly. Whatever your feelings, it's there, so deal with it.

Now, the third point relates to a little project I have been working on for the past two years. Most of the work has been internal to my head, but some of it has been committed to google doc. Frankly I don't know if it will ever be finished, or even a project I decide to share with the community at large. However, you, my loyal readers, get a chance to have a look! It is very much a work in progress, and has not even got to the main storyline yet. Here it is. It's under a working title, a better one will come if I ever make much more progress. It's a little more serious in tone than SLaTfAtP, and feedback is much appreciated.

Have a lovely day all of you, season 5 is just around the corner!

Sir Ginger out.

yay. Welcome back to writing

YESSSSSSS! Ginger's back!

Also, I don't think I've ever mentioned this before, but the reason I LOVE So Long is because I think it's better than the The Hitchhiker's Guide itself. No joke. No exaggeration. For some reason I always found Arthur Dent and his reactions to the insane galaxy he'd been tossed into to be mundane at best and depressingly apathetic at worst. So Long hits the way real people (or ponies in this case) should react to the madness of Adam's universe on the nose, and has some of the best humor besides Terry Goodkind's Diskworld series that I've ever read.

That aside, I can't wait to see what you've been up to over these past few years. A lovely day and an excellent season 5 premier to you to, Sir Ginger!

Welcome back! :)
The draft looks interesting by the way. I wish you inspiration and time (:twilightsheepish:) to make it to the story.

Thanks a lot! I don't agree on the superiority of my work to Adam's, but appreciate the compliment. Maybe it will be closer after a bit of elbow grease.

You are getting your Terrys mixed up I think, Pratchett wrote the Discworld, Goodkind wrote The Sword of Truth.

Whoops! I can't believe I did that again. :facehoof: For some reason I get Goodkind and Pratchet mixed up all the time. Derpity derp. :derpytongue2:

Still like your story more than Adams' personally. I got depressed the more HGTTG books I read for some reason--again, I blame Arthur Dent. Eoin Colfer was a breath of fresh air with And Another Thing though.

Oh, and happy season 5 day, everypony.
