Historic first for me...

For the first time ever, I forfeited a Pokemon match.

Let me explain.

I have a team of EV trained, IV bred Pokemon that I use for online battling... When my Internet holds out long enough for me to do it, anyway. Between Y, X, and Omega Ruby, I've had somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 battles in Gen VI. I have a personal policy of seeing a match through to the end, no matter how bad things look for me. I will also never close my 3DS or turn the power off as a ragequit. That's just a dick move. And I like to think I'm not too much of a dick.

I was looking for a couple of battles tonight and after nearly defeating a team of Legendaries (by "nearly" I mean that if my Hydreigon had somehow survived a Dialga's attack, it would have killed it with another Earth Power), I challenged someone else to a singles match. He refused, then challenged me back, this time to a Doubles match. For the uninitiated, a Doubles match is where each side has two Pokes out at the same time rather than just one.

Now, mind you, I'm not really a player of Doubles matches. But I thought, "What could it hurt?"

I didn't expect to get my ass handed to me THIS BADLY!

I'll be as succinct as possible. He had a Togetic that could sponge like nobody's business, combined with Follow Me, which makes Togetic the target of all attacks directed at its ally. The thing hardly took anything from my attacks. Even my Mega Venusaur's Sludge Bomb did only about half. He had a Forretress, which under any other circumstances I could easily kill. But that's not the worst of it. Guess what his Mega was.

Mega Kangaskhan.

Now, the bitch is enough of a power trip as it is, getting two attacks per turn, and often, if not always, having an attack that raises its Attack stat to retarded levels, but pairing it with that fking Togetic was just EVIL! Never mind the fact that I kept trying to Whirlwind it away with Skarmory, and either it hit Togetic because of Follow Me, or I succumbed to paralysis, which Togetic (surprise, surprise) inflicted on me early in the match. At the time of my forfeit, that Aussie had almost single-handedly destroyed my team, save for Skarmory and her fkawesome 416 Defense. I had finally gotten her off the field for the time being, but that sent out an Omastar, which I still Whirlwinded away after enduring a suped-up Ancientpower, and then THAT sent out...

...a fking Klefki.
