Upcoming projects, also first blog post hype.

Hello everyone.

Remnants has been online for quite some time now. I got mostly positive opinions on it, and it did get a "professional" review (though only reading half the story and commenting from that isn't very smart nor professional but oh well).

I have learn a few things from this first try, though. Not gonna detail it here, but I'm pretty sure I can do much better now.

There are quite a few ideas in my head right now, but before I share them with you, let me tell you which movie I went to see yesterday.

Saint Saiya, Battle of the Sanctuary.

Whislt this is not the place for a full on review, let's just say it sparkled an awesome idea in my head. I'm gonna write something VERY LOOSELY based off the manga's ideas and currents.

The plot is pretty much the same in terms of progression, but in terms of actual facts (as in what's happening, why are they fighting, who, etc...) there are gonna be quite a few disimilarities.

The most obvious changes here : Athena will now be Celestia, and Luna will now be Hades. But contrarily to what you may be thinking now, NO, the Mane Six won't be the Bronze Knights. Nope, they will have a whole other place (and no, they won't be Gold Knights either...or maybe. I don't know yet. This is kind of an embryo at this point.)

However, and I repeat it, the story is very loosely based off the manga/anime. There will be MAJOR differences. Hence I'm not sure if it's gonna be a crossover or not.

This story will also be the first in my "Over the Top" folder.

What is this folder ?

I intend to write less serious story. Not less serious as in their tone, or the plot, but more in the execution. I want them to be something like those films you go to see at the cinema for pure fun, aka Transformers, or Expendables.

Over top situations, over the top battles, over the top powers, over the top speeches, over the top characters. I just decided to let myself go and litteraly write what I want.

Remnants was under extreme control. It took a lot of work to get it just like it is now, and it was a constant re-reading and tweaking. Everything had been corrected, analysed, discussed and put to test.

I want something more free and more..guts-full ? Something that I would read and just take a whole lot of fun reading, imagining cataclysmic battles and absolutly over-evil villains.

And that Saint Saiya thingie would be the first of it. I have a few other ideas that don't quite fit in this story though.

1/ Outbreak. Something about either a disease or a zombie outbreak. End of the world. Death. Ambiance. Mane Six + OC.
2/ Monster Hunter Crossover. Battles. Monsters. Weapon play. Epicness. Shining Armor + OCs.
3/Project Technopole. A group of stories all orbiting around the Futuristic City of Technopole. SF. Rise and Fall. Long. Mane Six + Other Canon Ponies + OCs.
4/Lone Track. A group of mercenary guarding a train going on a simingly endless track. Mostly Speeches and Reflexion. Exposing my theories on cutie marks. More focused on relations. Entirely OCs.
5/Black Fire Gallop. The very reason I started writing. Epic Tale of battles, betrayal, and revenge. Very dear to my heart. Shining Armor + Major OCs.

Those are the ideas flotting in my head right now. Saint Saiya is, however, priority.

In terms of editing, proof reading and group activities, my personnal situation kind of settled down for now. I should get more and more involved over time in the Harmonists' life again.

I am NOT taking any work up yet, but it should happen at some point. I'll let people there know.

Well, that's all for today. Hope this gives you some insight as to what's going on there. As you can see, my rythm is pretty slow, and it's not looking likely to change. Keep it in mind.
