I'm a little too proud of this... · 7:08pm Mar 24th, 2015

I don't normally blog about stuff like this (in fact, I really don't blog much at all these days, unless it's a story update/posting of some kind), but I couldn't really help myself. My CD import of an old Super Eurobeat CD finally came in today, and as I hoped, it was in mint condition. Considering this particular CD was released back in 2000 -- which is, yes, fifteen years ago now -- the fact that it's still unopened and in such great condition makes it a rarity. As you can imagine, I'm a pretty happy camper. :rainbowkiss:

I just wish you could see the reflective foil in action. So shiny!

Now, a lot of eurobeat from this era is easily found online -- as is most eurobeat in general -- but there's still something so pleasing and gratifying about actually holding the real thing. And in such awesome condition, too! (Yes, I'm gushing, just let me have my moment.) Though it does beg the question, whether or not I want to open it. To be honest, I kind of don't want to. But the music... gah. This is what the mint packaging is doing to me. :raritydespair:

Oh well, at least the music is easily found online. A little too easy, actually, though you do have to know what you're looking for. It's a little hard to just stumble across it otherwise. (And yes, these are from the above CD in question.)

I couldn't decide which of the tracks I liked best, so I just stuck a bunch here.

Just last month, I also got an import for the newest and most recent CD in this series -- which, I'll remind you, is still going on at 232 volumes currently -- so now I've got old and new alike. Now if only I can find one of those rare, early copies of the first few volumes that don't run upwards of a hundred bucks... I'll probably need to get a new record player for all the really old stuff, though. Bluh.

Clear waste of my time and money aside, it's back to the fic workshop with me. Joy.

Yes, yes, we're an ocean and a (young) lifetime apart, but it's still in style, I swear! :raritydespair:
