Raising Rainbow Trailer (Storyboard + Voices) · 12:02am Mar 8th, 2015
So, uhh... Yeah.
As many of you may (Or may not) know, Hoofstep Synergy has been developing a Raising Rainbow animation. It's been something in the process for a very long time, and they recently linked me to a trailer. The animation has yet to really develop, so this is mostly just still black and white images with voices. I recently saw the storyboard for just this much, and I honestly don't know what to think about this, since I'm really self-conscious of my own work. I hope you all enjoy though.

Also, as I know many of you are wondering, the next chapter should be out in 2-4 months. I'm working hard on trying to finish this one commission I have, and then I'll get to the chapter. I have been working on it off and on lately, and I actually think this one will be very cute. If you have any questions about the future of the story, feel free to ask.

Looks interesting. You should let it happen, it could turn out huge. Wish my story had a reading/animation. Anyway, if they need any help I could assist them in storyboarding or animation.

I am sorry, but I found the voice acting silly. I didn't much care for any of the voices in that, but the idea of animating your story is very interesting.
No offense meant to the actors, but they sounded nothing like what I pictured for any of them.
2858372 They aren't really the way I imagined them either, but you really can't be picky. I don't think they're that "silly", but yeah, in parts they seem to be a bit exaggerated when it comes to emotions at times. I think it'll be cute, and it's not like there's tons of people working on this.
I have two questions:
1. How many more chapters do you think the story will have?
2. Are we going to be seeing any more of Firefly?

I understand what you mean by this, however you should be aware that this video was never intended to go public, however it is a bit late now so I can't complain. This video is intended for internal use, mainly for our composer. There will (definitely) be adjustments to lines and styles later in the project, however for now, as I said, internal use for timings and layout.
In all honesty we cannot predict how you exactly want the characters to sound. In the end you can't really complain. This said, we have a very small number of production staff (below 10), and majority of the rest of the crew are voice actors. Exaggerated does come to mind however and I will be revising the script in light of this.
