So the first chapter of those lovely bar hopping old ladies is loaded up and ready to go. With the main work out of the way, I took the next logical step: scrounge up some coverart.
I could not find coverart. Not a single picture of these three together. Maybe it's my garbage google-fu or inability to find anything on derpibooru. Or maybe noone's just drawn these three together whoopin and hollerin it up in a pub.
I can find maybe one or two pictures of Tia smashed, tops, but that doesn't feel like it does enough justice, so I sit at an impasse.
So I ask you, dear readers of Letters: Do I post this sidestory without art, with art of just Tia buzzed, or wait until some appropriate art comes up, be it commissioned or not?
I vote art of Tia just buzzed. I'm no artist, but I think the people who make art for stories generally make art after they've read the story rather than before (unless it's commissioned). You might end up with someone wanting to create the art for this story, after they enjoyed reading it.
Look for individual pictures of the three and shop them together?
2854691 This. Just snag vectors of the three characters, find a random pub/otherwise suitable background, and slap it together. It'll hold until you can get something better going.
One or Two sound the best. The story is what's important, not the picture.
I threw this together as a test. I even left some space on top for the title of the fic.

There are a few tweaks I would do for consistency, but it's a minor thing I'm not heavily concerned with.
For those tweaks, I don't have Celestia wearing her regalia, Mayor has her glasses, and Granny's sans her spotted scarf according to my descriptions. Wholly up to you if you want to make those changes for consistency, but I'll go ahead and get this story posted with this for now.

I'd have to redraw them to remove their clothing (and add the glasses). I think it's doable.

Don't worry about time here, man. I'm not gonna put pressure on to get it done, not when it's a nice gift like this. Patience is one of my best virtues, so take as much time as you like.
