Lets try something different here. · 8:49pm Mar 5th, 2015
I'm taking a small break from writing the Changeling Doll.
No, this does not mean it will not update for a whole year. Oh no. No no no.
Basically, every time I look at the current chapter, I keep thinking "Not good enough." I want to feel good, satisfied with what I do, and honestly, my creativity battery is dead concerning it.
So here's my game plan:
1.) Set a goal to reach, and work towards it, and then go back towards the Changeling Doll when it's done.
2.) Reread all of the Changeling Doll so I can try recapture the feels it gives closer to it's beginning.
3.) Not worry so hard about making it perfect.
The first one is super important because once I declare "I'll take a break." it is so incredibly easy to have that break as long as I want it to be. I feel like not writing at all is a bad idea, so here's my idea for the goal, make another short story, like, maybe 5-6 chapters long, with short chapters. I have a couple ideas that have been swimming in my head and I've been trying to suppress them and work on Changeling Doll. So this will let me get one of them out of the way, it keeps me doing something and not stagnating, and once it's done, back to the Changeling Doll.
I'm not gonna forget the Changeling Doll, don't worry.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I expected.

Someone disagrees.
I hink your number 3 is very important. Because noone makes a perfect story. People will always love/hate stories. You can only do you best and see what happens. I wasn't displeased how you wrote the latest chapters, but if you feel you need to take a break, go for it. It's totally understandable. :)
