    Update (Without excuses this time!)

Guess what? I'm done writing the next chapter of Manifesto.

I just need to give my prereaders a day or two to look over it, and then it'll go up.

Until then, here's Despacito being played on a guzheng.

    Hey, everyone.

I've somehow gotten out of the habit of posting updates. Oops.

Anyway, you've no doubt noticed that I don't post as often as I once did in the past. This is largely because improvements in my life situation mean I have the wherewithal to engage in hobbies other than writing fanfiction.

    Update.

Goodness, it's been a while, hasn't it? You're probably wondering why my pace has slowed down on Manifesto. Well, there are several reasons, but the most relevant one is that I find myself rewriting large swaths of this chapter as I zero in on the best plan for Sunset to take. I'm basically going back and forth between two ideas that can't really be combined into a single one, and for

    New Story Incoming

In case you missed my last blog post, I'm taking a break from the adventures of Celestia and Daring Do to write the next Petriculture story. At this point it looks like it'll be fairly short -- about two chapters long -- and I recently finished up the first chapter, which will be posted once my prereaders give it a final once-over.

On Childhood Nightmares · 4:32am Mar 3rd, 2015

Have you ever been watching a movie, and suddenly you see a scene that's almost a perfect recreation of one of your persistent childhood nightmares, right down to the ambiance and color scheme?

Because that's what happened to me when I saw the opening scene of Waltz With Bashir. Those goddamned dogs...

It's the colors that get me the most, actually. My nightmare was in those exact shades of blue and yellow.

Seriously, I've watched this movie several times (I own it on DVD, actually), but this scene still freaks me out every single time. (And in case you're wondering, my dream predates this movie by about 20 years.)

uhh I had something similar to that actually about 10 years ago Me and someone else was sprinting into a tunnel cave thing and when I looked behind me the world was spinning and at the same time falling there where 2 minecarts there that me and the other person went into and then I woke up and it turns out the same thing happened in this Minecraft series..... that was post about a week or 2 ago

more specifically at 16 minutes in.

It's definitely an omen. :pinkiecrazy:

Someday soon the disc will be corrupted so it'll keep looping this scene, and it'll drive you crazy.

Nothing from movies for me, but those sand birds from Prince of Persia: Sands of Time bear a remarkably uncanny resemblance to nightmares I have had.

That certainly is an interesting use of the Acid Trip shader...
