I Got a Card Today... · 5:19am Feb 27th, 2015
I've noticed something, when I was little I used to get like five plus cards every year, mostly Birthdays with some cash as a gift, but slowly that dwindled up until last year when I got none. I was rather disappointed at the lack of cards at the time, but now I think I was more or less wanting the cash for obvious reasons. But today I got a card that said, "I hope you have a great Birthday. Stay out of the snow, and stay warm." Of course it had some cash but I actually cared more for the actual paper card than the money, even contemplating whether to give it to my mother, or spend it on a few candy bars for my friends. I guess I just wanted to know the people out there still care about me even if I can't see them but months between visits.
