I'm back! · 8:13am Feb 24th, 2015
Sorry for making the hiatus last so long, but things were going on in my life that I couldn't control (aside from the usual day-to-day) and I found myself feeling very unmotivated to read, let alone write. However, I finally sat down at the keyboard and wrote up a new chapter for a fic that's been long overdue to be updated!
Extra less interesting stuff below the break.
I was attempting to edit and finish one of my unreleased stories before the hiatus and before I could even make a dent in the work, I had to leave for a while. I won't mention all of the personal details, but it was some time I needed off of everything anyway. Sadly, even though I've had extra time to work on many other things, I still haven't gotten what I want done yet, and that includes not only the unpublished story, but also some unfinished stories I've yet to update in a reasonable time frame, as well as yet another story that needs a complete re-write. I apologize for the long wait, but I've found time and time again that writing isn't something that I can just make happen. I have to let the good stories write themselves, otherwise they won't be nearly as good, as proven by the story that needs re-written.
One of my biggest motivating factors in life has been my usefulness. I don't go around asking people if they need me to do things for them or anything big like that, but I do like to be appreciated from time to time by people who are close to me. I can say that this is probably the reason why I've been avoiding writing so much, because I was afraid it wouldn't be good enough for an audience who would normally be interested in me personally. I always know that it's not them I'm writing for, but I still can't beat the feeling that writing for myself just isn't good enough.
I wish you all knew the impact you have on what drives me to pursue my passion, and I want you to all know that I am extremely grateful that you are always here for me, even if you only read my stories. Thank you.
