This is just a possibility.
Across the infinite multiverse, one remains.
And across the infinite realities, Nightmare Eclipse, after linking herself to every version of herself to come since she was the original, doomed the other versions of herself to be defeated across the world lines when she was, she gambled and lost. How she was tethered all to her fate meant there was no way that any would EVER be victorious.
In ONE worldline across infinitely however.
Morning Star is not the only inhabitant of his solid gem prison in Tartarus.
In one, he shares it with Nightmare Eclipse. Inside the jewel, stuck in place like insects in amber, the two embrace each other, intertwined. Almost in love. Almost at peace. Both having wanted a perfect world. The gem will only shatter if both accept their wrongs and seek redemption.
Nightmare Eclipse, and Morning Star, together, that is a match made in Tartarus. I suspect even Havoc is scared by the idea.

Considering who he is, probably a bit of both, possibly a little weirded out that Morning Star finally found somepony whom he deems perfect enough to love, or at least, consider more than a pawn or an insect, and the very idea of Fear itself being freaked out might be entertaining to him. I dunno. All I know if he's very enjoyable being the father of one of the biggest trolls in MLP. I suspect the only one capable of out-trolling Discord would be Puerelis The Fool, considering that trolling would probably fall under his domain.

Nightmare Eclipse was an EPIC villain, I wonder if she's still alive somewhere? I mean it WAS stated that the one show in Dark World absorbed all of the versions of her into herself, but what if she missed one?
