What do you think?: Commissions

I know the navy is right around the corner for me and I might not be able to continue writing for a while, but if I'm still able to, I'm thinking about doing commissions for one-off clopfics (users pay a certain amount of money to my paypal in exchange for me writing a clopfic of their choosing) Of course, I won't just write anything; I probably will decline offers including gore or dark or depressing stories, but still. Do you guys think this is a good idea? I don't want to come across as money-whoring or selfish; a bit of extra cash could really help me out with little things in my career and I'd have a lot of fun writing about new things. What do you guys think? Lemme know!

I don't think you shouldn't do it. I say put the offer out there and see what happens. One thing you'd have to get down is pricing. You don't wanna change pricing after a bunch of people already commissioned. A good idea would be to charge by chapter, that way if a story hit a dead end, you'd have no monetary obligation to finish something that's going nowhere.
