Yes, it is the day of affection, snuggling, roses, and chocolates. Fun fact, Valentines has always had something of a sour connotation in my family, Why, because my mother is/was a florist and Valentines is hands down the busiest time of year for her. Her small shop, in our hometown, can normally operate with herself and two employees. On Valentines, that number triples up to 9 total employees, three or four of them often just doing delivery.
Fun Fact the Sequel: My mother's shop was the only florist for our small town of 5,000. Imagine the chaos for the flower shops in larger cities, even if there are more than one.
Any, I have great gobs of good news to spread around, so consider this my Valentines gift to all of you. First, I have a new story. The Enemy of My Enemy is the first shipping story I've posted onto this site. For a few years, I was using the excuse that the game I did for EQD, the Shipping Story of Everything, covered my flank for shipping stories. Still, one can only ride coattails of a simple mad-lib/chose-your-own-adventure story game for so long.
Second, about my promise of New Nyx in the New Year. Work is steadily continuing. The goal is to have at least the first chapters out before Season 5 starts. Currently, the story has seven chapters and probably over 50k words. It's looking like it will be a story just about as long as Winter Bells was, and I'll work hard to get it to you as fast as I can. The Enemy of My Enemy was, in part, a way to give myself a little break from the larger project.
So with all that said, I hope everyone has a wonderful day. Mine, I know, is going to be a mixed bag. My mother's flying in to visit, but that also means I have to tidy up a little bit.
