The reason being that I simply moved on from the MLP community; I have not stopped writing, so those of you who enjoyed my work for what it is and would like to see what else I make can follow me at Royal Road.

    How long has it been?

I don't even recall the last time I dusted off this profile. It's been a while. I came on today after cleaning out my email to see if I was still getting notifications from this site. To see that they're still people who are reading my work is heartwarming.

Started to Play Enemy Within Again · 1:59am Feb 14th, 2015

I can't stahp! I say I'm going to but I can't! It's interfering with my writing too, dammit!

Literally it happens like this:

Finishes saving a bunch of civilians from being abducted. "Alright I think I'm going to call it quits for no–"

Bradford steps into my office. "Commander, we have an incoming transmission from the council. It seems urgent."

"Patch them through then" I say.

"Hello commander." Says the mysterious man who sounds a lot like Optimus Prime from that shitty Michael Bay film. "It has caught our recent attention that one of our Officials Peter Van Doorn was caught in explo– Commander?"

*I had already left to prep my team the second I had heard Peter's name.*

This man is a war hero.

Play Long War mod. Then you'll have no free time for anything. And get Van Doorne as a soldier for winning that mission. He even gets unique voice acting.

Oops. Who left this here?

Also, play Long War anyway.

So what happened to that Chapter that was nearly dun one week five days ago?

There are 2 things you need to do.
1.Play Long War on Normal (it's brutal, but beautiful)
2.Listen to this while playing

Try the long war mod for XCOM EW. It makes the campaign longer and the game harder, but there is a lot more stuff, customization, and more classes. And if you want a taste of the mod, watch Beaglerush play it.

2795159 I do watch the BagleRush! I follow his Twitch Live Stream and Youtube.

Well, it is an addictive game. Very fun to play.

2795164 Really? That's soo cool!

2794666 *Walks around the corner with a hammer* How's that chapter going, heh?
Oh...It is not done yet? It would be a SHAME if SOMETHING were to happen to that little game of yours, hmmm? *Evil laughter* :pinkiecrazy:

Sanity not included

If you like Enemy Within, and want something a little harder, try out the long war mod. It adds so much content it isn't even funny. In my LW game, I'm some 40+ hours in and not even halfway through the campaign, on normal.

You know what's the scariest mission on Enemy Within? The Chryssalid mission in Canada. When you've only got laser rifles, a mec, lots of supports and absolutely nothing else... oh and an air strike on the way that will wipe you and your team out.

2798397 Hell. What makes that mission even more scary is when you're using the second wave option "Marathon Mode" which makes it so that the campaign proceeds at a steady pace. However, your research, wound time, and construction is doubled. Meaning that by the time you get to that mission, you don't even have mechs, and you just, you JUST had created your first couple laser rifles. And if you're lucky, you might have Squad Size One (that is if you're playing on Classical or Impossible).

That mission is ten times scarier when you're still using kevlar and basic ballistics.

2798413 Oh bejeebus I know right? It was during my FIRST PLAYTHROUGH EVER TOO! My heavies had only LMGs, my supports had laser rifles, but my assault has le shotgun and that was it.

Light Plasma Rifle is your friend.
