I am a former football player. I am a huge football fanatic. I watch football in some form every week and I am constantly in the loop about everything involving the sport...
One thing I was not in the loop of was why the HELL KATY. PERRY. played the half time show? Both the NFL and the viewers watching the game have lost the meaning of having a half time show! It's supposed to keep you excited and pumped up for the actual GAME. KATY. PERRY. is not the kind of artist that pumps people up in a way that makes them excited to watch the rest of the game! She is not the artist that can excite people into wanting to watch two teams continue to battle it out to see who is best!
What she CAN do and what she DID do was play her silly pop songs that have no relation to the sport! I would prefer Lil' Wayne because he has songs that ACTUALLY RELATE TO GOD DAMN FOOTBALL! Eminem would have been awesome! Hell god damn Wiz Khalifa would work too! Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas, and Madonna are NOT what the game of football needs. Bruno Mars/Red Hot Chili Peppers was alright but still not really the kind of music a half time show needs.
