    D&D plans.

So, some time ago I talked about how nice it would be to do a D&D 5e group. Well, I think it's about time to do it. Couple issues, Who is going to play? I'd like to have a group of 3-5 people, and then myself as the DM.

First off, Skype is a requirement.

Secondly, we'd be using Roll20 for the tabletop portions, so you'd have to have an account on that.

    Breezie Speak=Easy

So, I haven't updated in a while, but I swear, I have been getting SOME things done.

Like, for example, working on the Breezie Language that I touched on in Falling Feathers a while back.

The most difficult part was trying to figure out how to do the verb conjugations, but when I remembered the whole point was simplicity, I figured out what I want to do with it.

    Lol Internet

So, In case you haven't noticed, I haven't updated since that last chapter I made. Well, that's because I don't have home internet. I'm using my phone to set up a mobile hotspot. While I have unlimited data, and don't have to worry about overages, I don't have unlimited high speed. So, while I still have high speed, I can do whatever I want, but once it's out......

Winter

In

CANADA

=Warning, the following content in inappropriate for BABBIES due to excessive sailor talk=

Get up, it's night time. I work nights, gotta go to work.
Is snowing. Mom says 'take a cab'. I say 'no, I'll walk to work like I always do.'
She says 'But it's bad weather out there, I'm pulling the 'mom string'. Basically 'Do what I say because I'm the adult here.
I'm an adult too, so I decide to call a cab because I don't wanna listen to her nag and bitch. Take the high road.

... It's super bowl Sunday. I call the cab at 10 pm. It's 10:40 by the time it arrives. If I walked I would have BEEN THERE ALREADY. Whatever. Take the cab. Get to work. Go to work. Work at work.

Get a call at 3 am. My replacement for the morning can't make it. They live all the way out of town, right next to the lake and have it way worse than we do. Call around. No one can take her shift. Actually, only one person can't take her shift. Nobody else even PICKS UP. So, Call the person who's got the short shift on days. (two people work an 8 hour shift, 1 works a 4 hour shift, the 4 hour is optional, the two 8's are required) Ask em if they wanna work a full 8. They say yes of course, because who the fuck wants to come to work for only 4 hours in this weather?

I work in an old age home. We have our own people to get up, and certain residents have private care workers get them ready for the day. Guess what? Two of the private care workers call in. The rest don't call in, they just don't bother to show up. Call the director of care, see if she can come in. She says she's throwing up. Sick? ooooor Super Bowl Sunday Party?

7 Am. I'm done. Time for me to go home. My replacement isn't here. Call em. They're digging their car out. *sigh* They live literally down the street. Sure, it's all the way at the other END of the street which goes across literally the entire city, but it's the same damn street. There's only one road in Canada, or so the song goes. She says she might be able to make it by 8:30.

9:00 rolls around. Still not here. I got all the people up that private care didn't bother to get, in addition to the people we normally get up, a job that is normally done by 2 people. (the 8 hour and 4 hour shift) I deliver all the trays because it's fucking winter and all the old folk get sick in winter and have to get trays in their room so they don't spread the black plague around. So yeah, I do all the work LIKE A BOSS. Show those lazy day shift peeps what DA NITE CRU is about.

9:30 comes. The chick who called in originally SHOWS UP. She fucking made it. Hugs are given/received. It's like Christmas morning. I'm going the hell home. Call mom, tell her I'll be on my way.

"Make sure you take a cab." I look outside, whatever it was like down by the lake before, we got fucking double. There's a 5 foot snow pile at the building's front door. Gotta call the stupid cab company because my day has been long enough and I don't wanna listen to nagging when I get home. Sooner I move out = better.

Ask cab company what kind of wait time I'm looking at, remember 40 min wait from last night.

"Nah, we got no wait, we can be there right away." Sweeeeeeet.

10 mins pass.

20 mins pass.

Where the shit are they?

Start walking down the street. It's a one way street, so I know which way the cab will be coming from. Sonnofabitch is stuck. Three cars behind him, further down the street, also stuck. Oh baby a triple. Winter is MLG

What do I do?

I PUSH. That's right. I rescue my freakin cabby. I'm pushin from behind. Car likes it, She's growlin, making a purrin noise. I'm breathin exhaust, don't give a shit. I move that thing 300 meters onto a plowed road.

Strangest thing. The road my work is on is plowed, but none, and I mean NONE, of the roads leading to it are. The cabby checked every one before getting stuck on the last one.

You're asking yourself how is one road in the middle of town plowed when none of the roads connected to it are? Cuz Snowplow drivers are TROLLS is how.

Finally on my way home. If I hadda walked, woulda been there already. On the way 4 more cars stuck, 2 accidents. Get home. Walk in the door.

"Oh hey, you made it." Grr. "I fed your dog but she wouldn't go outside. She went to the door, then turned right back around and went to bed. I go look out the back door. 5 foot snow pile. No fucking SHIT my dog didn't go outside. The snow pile is twice her height. Couldn't figure that out? The moment I realize my DOG is smarter than my mom is.

Shovel out a path through the snow for the poor thing. Came back in. My niece asks my ma for pancakes. Well, since I just finished pushing a one ton hunk of metal down a hunk of road for the distance of a sprint race, I'm felling down for some mutha fuckin pancakes m'self.

"Hey, while you're at it, can you make a whole bunch for me too?"

Her reply?

"I ain't makin nuthin."

GRRRRRRR.

So, I I make waffles. The frozen kind that you just pop in your toaster.

Then my ma says

"Oh hey, by the way, you gotta shovel the driveway later."

"Seriously? I'm going to bed!"

"Hey, I said LATER" Is her reply.

"When? At 10 pm right before I go to work?" she gives me 'the mom look' You know the one. the Do as I say else I shall smite thee with the awesome power of my bitchitude, for I am the Grand NAG-us.

About 10 seconds of the look, I turn to her, and right in front of my impressionable five year old niece I say, not with wrath or spite but contempt,

FfffffffffffUCK YYoooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

I eat my waffles, have some Lemon Meringue pie that I bought yesterday. And by have 'some' I mean I eat the entire damn thing. Then I go downstairs to my room and write this blog. I'm going back to work tonight, then I have 3 days off. I'm not taking a cab. I'm walking, in the middle of a blizzard and 5 feet of snow, because what people in my house hold don't seem to understand Is that

I'm a GODDAMN

CANADIAN

And now I have to go watch that 'song of skyrim' animation

sounds like a great day!!!!

This makes me wish that we could like blog post.

brings a tear to my eye,..so proud... -50 weather? walk in it. snow taller then you? walk through it. wind that can knock over burly men? stumble through it.... but you keep your pride(stubbornness) and march on.. Minnesota(usa) born and raised, winter wont stop me.

We were supposed to get a lot of snow on Sunday. It seems to have missed us. Lucky.

I know the struggle man.
I feel you.

I'm in Iceland, and I'm just getting the pussy kind of bad weather that freezes absolutely all moisture to your windshield an hour before you get up and then retreats behind the bushes to laugh at your misfortune.

the struggle is soooooo real

I feel for you, I really do but I've only ever seen snow like that once. I don't think I would even get up in the morning if I was in your position. Where I am on the BC coast it's 8 Celsius and raining. I find this a bit on the chilly side.

Shit, the struggle is real.

Having worked for a care provider in the middle of rural Wales, and going out to houses four miles from the nearest road to get someone up, washed, toileted, dressed and fed in 30 minutes to keep to my idiotic target timetable drawn up by a moron whose only knowledge of my home area is an OS map, whilst still being reminded to provide a high quality, professional service, I sort of understand your pain. :fluttershysad:

I lost it at

I PUSH. That's right. I rescue my freakin cabby. I'm pushin from behind. Car likes it, She's growlin, making a purrin noise.

:rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh:

I feel you buddy! I had a long day of digging my truck out, driving down the road, digging my work buddy out, driving home, digging the rest of my driveway out, digging my dad out, digging my backyard out for my dog. Then after all this work, I stupidly decided to go for a walk to pick up smokes.........I can understand some people disappearing in the snow when you're like 5'1" but when you're 6'4" and your entire lower half disappears...... that's a fuck ton of snow.

2765100 Yeah. That's right. You like that don't you girl? *Beep* Horn goes off. "You're welcome."

My favorite blog post of all time. Favorited, shared everywhere.

I wish I went to Cannada in the winter and not the summer every year, in Maryland we got like not even 3 inches of snow, didn't get a fucking foot of snow all winter long!

I get what you mean being a Canadian my self XD. Snow sucks! Especially when you're waist deep in it.

So. This is what it looks like out my bedroom window.
fimfiction-static.net/images/story_images/207085_r.jpg?1423159722

That's a 2.5 foot window, it's base is level with the ground.....
I'm just gonna close my blinds.

Open the door to get the mail, am greeted by this.....

*sigh*

fimfiction-static.net/images/story_images/20611_r.jpg?1423159771

That pile there is about halfway up the car window. It was as high as that EVERYWHERE before it got plowed.

Speaking of plowing, may I introduce you to....

THE PILE

fimfiction-static.net/images/story_images/59539_r.jpg?1423159815

It's almost as tall as my house.

2771914 which province is this in?

2778320 Victoria. I intend to go to BronyCan in August though.

2778439 BronyCan? *looks it up* huh.:rainbowderp: well I guess it would make sense for it to be in Vancouver.
