In regards to Moving Day · 3:12pm Feb 1st, 2015
Well everyone, it's been a few months since I last updated this story, and there are several reasons for that.
First and foremost, a lot of my readers have come forward and complained about how the various characters and the story in general have turned out. Quite a few people have even gone so far as to say some of the characters, and situations, are completely stupid, and looking back on it, I would have to agree with them.
When I started this story it was supposed to be something else for my creative writing juices to work on while I took a short break from my other story, which has since been cancelled. Unfortunately/fortunately, depending on how one looks at it, this story become fairly popular fairly quickly.
This is both good and bad, it's good because that means the story is interesting enough for people to read, it's bad because now a lot of people have high expectations for this story, and sadly my writing skills just aren't very good.
Looking at the comments I can see that majority of my problems with this story originate in chapter 2, which means the rest of the story is just FUBAR at this point in time. A lot of the comments for chapter two are negative comments, and if I had been paying attention in the beginning, I could have fixed this problem before my story when down the crapper, honestly I'm surprised anybody has kept reading after the second or third chapters.
But enough about my short comings and my put downs, what am I going to do about it?
I'm going to cancel the story.
Just kidding.
No, what I'm really going to do is to take down every single chapter and rewrite the whole story, chapter 1 for the most part, in my opinion, wasn't too bad, it just needed to have some changes made to it, but chapters two onward is going to be completely/mostly different. This is the main reason, beside real life getting in the way, that this story hasn't updated lately. Though I do intended to have this story updating more regularly in the future, I hope, and get this thing moving again.
In any case, I'm going to be giving out a few spoilers to what is going to be completely removed from the story.
1.) Allen's plane is going bye-bye.
2.) So is the fine.
3.) And certain minor characters are also either getting removed, or reworked and moved around.
And that is basically it, I hope that I can fix the major problems that people were having with the story, but if I can't then I'll probably just cancel it and hang up my writing hat for good.
We'll see.
Yeah, the entire fine thing just felt wrong as everything he did was a result of Discord, yet everyone else effected gets a pass but he doesn't? Really the entire thing could have turned into another 'racist ponies create new evil villain to fight' type scenario.
I haven't read it yet, so it's all new to me one way or the other.
It had its flaws, but it was still well worth reading.
Looking forward to the rewrite.
Can you keep the whole "Twilight gets punished" subplot? I really liked that one, it's something that, despite the other flaws of the story, I rather liked and felt that should have happened in the real show.
I really hope you do not cancel this story, i like it a lot.
If you keep the serious working Blueblood, make everyone else more reasonable and not as snappy, don't give Allen as much shit because everyone else is reasonable, blame everyone affected equally or don't blame them at all, and keep the "Twilight gets serious psychological help" subplot regarding the Lesson Zero mess, I'll be okay with any re-writes.
I really like this story, and would like to see it continued. I like how it deviates from other HiE stories (in a good way). Other than what's already been mentioned, I like how the ponies don't freak out over his diet, nor are they terrified over his appearance.
I am looking forward to more.

Since this post was last year and nothing new has come from you, I take it the story and the re-write has been cancelled and you're not writing anymore. Kind of a shame but if you're not motivated to write I you can't, I know what that's like oh well it was a decent story while it lasted. Although if you have stopped you should at least change the status of the story.
3909737 It's not cancelled, I've just been very busy these past few months. I plan to have the next chapter out in the next week or two.
3910134 New chapter as in new for what's been done or did you finish the re-write of the story that you said you were going to do? I haven't checked back in a long time so I'm not sure if you actually got around to that yet. I might have to re-read the story to remember what was going on at this point.
3910174 As in it's a new chapter with new content that wasn't in the original story line. Chapter 2 and onward is a lot different from what I had originally written.
