My Leetle Coward

Dang bro, when I went to bed after posting this I was certain it wouldn't be liked. My l33t writing skillz are far from perfect so I guess I'm more hard on my writing then other people actually are. I just wanted to make a few points about My Little Coward before I continue with it.

First things first, this story is pretty much a 'it's over when it's over' sort of thing. I have a LOT of 'episode' ideas and I'm doubtful I'll ever get them all done. The story is pretty much just going to be done when I get bored of it. Knowing me I'll probably come back to it a few times anyway and hey I might actually get it done all the way someday. I do have a main story arc planned but I have no idea if we'll ever make it that far.

Secondly, I refer to all story arcs as episodes. Unless they are shorter ones they will usually be split up into parts to keep me from getting burnt out. The current episode we're on is obviously Fred and as it stands now it will be three parts. The next episode I can guarantee is a Katz episode as this will introduce the third main character Shirley as well as the minor reoccurring villain Katz.

Character wise Courage, Computer, and Shirley will make up a main character trio with most the episodes revolving around them. Courage can't pull the whole, 'funny babbling animal that no one understands' as a pony so he's characterizes more as a shy and fairly timid character with a bit of a nervous disposition. Computer is mostly himself with maybe a hint of Squidward thrown in for good measure. Shirley is considerably more jaded then she was on the show and at times an even bigger deadpan then Computer. Eustace is still pretty much good ol Eustace but Muriel is slightly more competent then her show counterpart.

I'll admit from the get go that I don't feel I can write Fred very well, rather then have him be rhyming pedobear he is now more of a stalker pedobear. He only monologues in his head on the show so it kinda makes sense though, things are mostly from Courage's point of view in this story so we'd never hear him monologue in the first place. This is mostly a pilot episode meant to set the up the characters and info dump a ton of information. I feel the Katz episode is where things will really get good but we'll have to see what happens.

As for a few more things to point out I want to make it clear that this fic is meant to have a certain level of plausibility going on, I want to make it feel as if this could actually be going on in the My Little Pony verse. This means that there will be no buddying up with the mane six as it wouldn't be very realistic for the Courage characters to be hanging out with them from the shows perspective. This doesn't mean the mane six won't show up at all it just means they'll probably only bump into each other as the Courage characters go about their daily lives. I also won't have Ponyville blown up every other episode because unlike what's normal on the Courage show I don't hit the negative continuity LOL. I will say that bsckground ponies are fair game though although none of them will really become permanent characters for this fic.

This is also not a 'LETS DO EVERY COURAGE EPISODE AS PONEHS LOLOLOLOLOL' thing. This story has the whole 'pony slice of life' element going on as well and so some of the episodes are just the weird day to day lives of the characters, that doesn't mean they will be boring though. I love any episode where the mane six loses their shit so I'll probably do a few 'ponies going batshit crazy episodes'.

Last but not least I am one of those elusive creatures called female LOL. I noticed a few people thought I was a guy in the comments so I thought I'd just throw that out there.

Here is the current episode guide. They are liable to change or not being written at all, I can't guarantee that they will even be written in this order. There are quite a few more episodes aside from this but I don't want to get ahead of myself just yet.

A Bad Hair Day
Cousin Fred has set up a barber shop in Ponyville and Courage is convinced that he is the cause of the sudden disappearances all over town.

The New Kat In Town
A cultured but highly competitive pegasus named Katz moves into town. Courage will have to rely on the help of a fortune teller called Shirley to get rid of the monsters he's brought along with him.

The Pipsqueak Conundrum
Pipsqueak is forced to work for Computer after he accidentally breaks something in his shop. The mechanic gets more then he bargained for when the tiny colt starts to idolize him and won't leave him alone.

Nightmare Night
Courage hates Nightmare Night but every year Muriel still forces him to attend. Aside from having to avoid Computer's usual attempts to scare him he also has to avoid Shirley's own antics as well.

The Lost Relic
While hunting for herbs in the Everfree forest Shirley comes across a strange slab. Now both she and anyone who comes in to contact with the strange relic are haunted by a strange apparition threatening to curse them.

My Sister's Keeper
Computer's past comes back to haunt him when his little sister ends up on his doorstep. Pixel is much kinder then her older brother but she has reasons for running away and it may get them both into trouble.

The Blanks
Things get creepy when an ill fated trip to the Everfree Forest leaves Courage and his friends lost. They come across a weird village where nopony has a cutie mark and things only get worse when they realize that something is horribly wrong with these ponies...
