Triumphant...ish Return · 4:12am Jan 21st, 2015
Hello again denizens of this fine horse story establishment. This is Jules Winnfield once again writing a message.
I've got mostly good news and some bad news for those of you reading this.
The good news is that I have returned to school. I think I said this was bad news a few bog posts ago. Turns out, I was dead wrong. I wrote very little over the break honestly. I wasn't as motivated as I should have been, due in part to two wonderful and addicting games. Which reminds me, add me on steam. I won't be on as much as I was over the break (probably) but when I am on it's always a good place to chat.
Back to news though. The next chapter of Masks should be up by the end of the week. The chapter after that has progress made on it, and most of the story is plotted out.
a bit more after the break
The bad news is a bit more personal, mainly that some things have failed to go through that will seriously affect my ability to continue attending this fine university if I don't get them taken care of soon.
More good news, it looks like that will be taken care of soon.
Even more good news, I'm going to force myself to be more productive with a quota. The goal is currently at least 500 words every two days, starting next week. If that keeps up I'll probably increase it. What this means is that Masks will definitely progress faster. And it means that as I gain ground and get ahead of Masks I can work on smaller side projects like I hinted at in an earlier blog.
Somehow better news: Thanks to a recent album release I've got a new thing to listen to while I write Masks. This may not seem like a big deal,
but I maintain the best writing I've done on the story was when I was listening to an album that fit the tone I wanted, and this new one is perfect, and something I will be able to listen to for as long as it takes.
I'll also be using that tumblr I linked on the page much more often from here on out. I'll be posting frequent updates on there and either weekly or bi-weekly here depending on what's happening.
I'm gonna end this blog a bit different than the previous ones. First a shout out to Aurora Borealis, the amazing editor/proofreader without whom Masks would most definitely be in an awfully worse place. Hell, he's practically a co-author at this point. But he's also writing things so go read those.
Again, feedback is something I live for. So any comment you drop on Masks or a blog is deeply appreciated. As is literally any contact you make with me through this website or tumblr or my email or steam or whatever else I connected here. Please.
Thanks for reading.
I'm back baby.
