Something To Live For · 1:35pm Jan 17th, 2015
If you find something worth living for, let it be the death of you. I love writing. As hard and painful and frustrating as it can be, I doubt I'll ever stop. I like to think I'd write in the empty dark even if not a single soul read my stories, but it sure does feel nice to have the light of your company, my humble followership. So thank you, all of you, for sticking with me through the silence between stories. Your patience will not be in vain, I promise you--I write every single day, and that writing will see the light of day here in the near future.
But enough of my delusional babble. Here are some concrete updates.
My upcoming story, What is Left, has been honored with new cover art. You can look at it here: http://www.fimfiction.net/story/208652/what-is-left. It's fairly fresh out of the oven, and I don't know the extent of which changes to the cover will be made before publication, if any. I think it's pretty neat. The artist is once again ArikarinLair.
I recently got my 200th follower. Hurray for arbitrary milestones.
I'm on a new writing schedule this month. Although I haven't been following it as religiously as I should, it has and is continuing to increase my productivity. Approaching 15,000 words written/processed so far this month, and I'm trying hard to get that number much higher before the end of the month.
The third draft of What is Left (~25,000 words) is coming along smoothly, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. I'm not gonna set a release date for it, but my hopes are high that it's approaching completion. As Leonardo da Vinci so elegantly put it, "Art is never finished, only abandoned." I've held on to this project for far too long as it is, and as much as I'd love to tinker with it into eternity, I'll release it for you guys once my alpha and beta readers tell me it's functional.
Thank you for taking the time to read this blog post. Please feel free to leave a comment. I love hearing from you!
The cover art looks nice. I'm looking forward to reading your story. There seems to be a noticeable lack of serious Sweetie Belle stories on the site in comparison to the other crusaders, so yours will be a welcome addition to the site.

I just hope I'll do the idea justice. There is so much more to the story than the current description, but I'm hesitant to expand on it out of fear of spoiling too much. The structure I have set up is kinda fast-paced, with developments and twists happening very quickly through the seven or so chapters. It'll be interesting to see what people think.
I can't wait for you to post the story. It sounds like it will be really good, and I love sad stories!

If you like sad stories, you're definitely in the right place--I love writing the stuff. I'm excited about releasing the story, too. It'll be my longest and first ever (published) multi-chaptered story, and it's without a doubt in my mind my best work yet. When What is Left is finally published, I'll probably go back to revising and finishing one of my two other equally long novellas.
2729896 Oh that's what I'm working on is, what I believe, my best multi-chapter story that I have ever written.

Neat. I've found that the more fun you have writing a story, the better it turns out in the end. Keep working hard on it and it'll turn out amazing. Best of luck to you!
2730127 Thanks, I will!... Man, every time I see your avatar, I can't help but smile. It's just so good and adorable in its own way.

The avatar needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge. Or was that the mind? Anyway, I hope you'll see a lot more of my avatar going forward.
2730140 lol Well, I am following you, so I will see your avatar changes whenever it happens.
It looks so cool! I can't wait!

I'm pretty excited about it too. I'm working somewhat diligently on finishing the revision process. I hope you'll like it half as much as you liked my other stories. Hard to say when exactly it'll be done, but it's definitely in its final few stages of development.
2731980 Considering that you wrote it and worked really hard on it, I'm sure I will. Looking forward to it! (Knowing you, it won't be long. You actually do stuff. I barely ever write, and that's only when I'm super inspired.*)
*Ironically, I submitted something today. It was only two thousand words, though.
