Buried Treasures (plus some weird stuff)

Before I discovered the amazingness of Gdocs, I used a program called LibreOffice Writer to type out any story ideas that I had. Yeah, I couldn't even afford Microsoft Word :(

Today I was saving some files I had recorded of myself for a language class when I stumbled upon one of the oldest things I had written in Libre. This quickly escalated and soon I was looking at all my old fics, half cringing, half laughing.

I thought I'd share a few of them since some of these ideas I'd really like to see done in fics, and a few of the less weird ones I may write about someday.

So, starting in alphabetical order:

Better to have loved and lost
I didn't have much on this, but I do remember the main premise which was about Luna visiting her dog's grave shortly after coming back. This is one idea I can see working really well in the early days of the fandom but now I think a lot of the emotional weight would sound OOC or forced. If I ever did this one I would probably have to change it to a pony.

Celestia in Super Target
This one also didn't have much on this one, but I remember really wanting to do something like this. Basically, Celestia observes humans by going to Target and various hijinks ensue from there. Based on the writing I can safely say this is the oldest one in the batch, with a bunch of really awkward word choices. Shame since I would really love to tackle this idea again, although maybe in a slightly different light.

Diamond Apple
Strangely enough, there's actually two different documents for this, although they're both have the same basic idea so why not lump them together? It's a AU where Diamond Tiara's mother dies at birth and Rich, not being able to take the stress of the situation, leaves Diamond with his good friends the Apples and she becomes one of them, taking on the name Diamond Apple. I honestly have no idea why I haven't seen anyone do something like this before. (Or maybe someone has and I just don't know of it :P) The change is subtle, yet could lead to a lot of interesting dynamics and scenarios. For example, how is Silver Spoon now that that she doesn't have DT? Is she still a stuck up brat? Is she a bully or is she quiet and shy now that she doesn't have a leader to follow? How has Apple Bloom's life changed now that she has a sibling right her age to play with? Would DT be her voice of reason or tag along with most of her crazy schemes? How is the CMC group different now? Man, this is such a fun AU. I really need to write something on this.

Fever Dreams
This one is a pure acid trip at the beginning, and I know later on it was supposed to be heavy and metaphorical. Extremely glad I didn't post it, since the content would have sounded pretentious coming from me a year ago.

Golden Orbs
Sweetie Belle goes to get her ears pierced with Rarity and Applejack, heartwarming ensues. This one I'm actually working on right now, since I fell in love with the concept all over again. :3

Reversed Rainbow
Another one sentence one, yay. Discord gets blasted with the elements of harmony even though RD isn't there and as a result he arrives in the human world. Not quite sure what I was going for on this one, although I now despise the fact that I thought sending Discord to the human world would be a good idea.

To Dream or not to Dream
Luna enters RD's dream during Sleepless in Ponyville and attempts to wake her up. This is perhaps my very first idea I had for a story, and I'm sad that it has been so long since I last thought about it. I hope one day I can pull off all the emotions it would take to make this story wonderful.

And that about wraps it up! Any ideas catch your attention? Any scrapped ideas you found after a period of time and went, "What was I thinking?" I'd love to hear them. :)
