    Writer's block

Yeah, it sucks bull testicles! But it happens to the very best of us and I have fallen victim to it. So to help myself I started writing two more stories. One is a simple scenario where they ponies are in high school. IT'S NOT AN EQUESTRIA GIRLS REWRITE! The story takes plays in Equestria so we're dealing with ponies here. It's an interesting coming of age story for Twilight and Spike, as well.

    Happy New Year

So 2014 has been pretty weird but some really inspiring things happened for me. America is a fantastic country filled with some fantastic people but it is filled with a lot of crap as well. This year made me see the nasty side of my country and to be honest I am so over it. All the more reason to stay indoors lol

So 2014 has been pretty weird but some really inspiring things happened for me. America is a fantastic country filled with some fantastic people but it is filled with a lot of crap as well. This year made me see the nasty side of my country and to be honest I am so over it. All the more reason to stay indoors lol
Anyway, stuff like that has really been bumming me out lately. If it wasn't for My Little Pony I would go crazy. This was the year I became a brony and I love every bit of it. I love the fans, the fan art, and the fan fiction. I'm still sorta new but I'm learning so much. Speaking of learning, MLP played a hoof in my decision to want to write for animation. I always thought it would be cool to be a staff writer for a cartoon but I felt that film is where I needed to be. That is not the case anymore. Actually it was never the case. Nothing was set in stone for me. But after taking a course in Children's Entertainment I was certain that this is what I want to shoot for.
Speaking of Children's Entertainment can we have a round of applause for The Legend of Korra? Now what's been said has already been said. KorrAsami is canon we gotta deal with it, ending was rushed, yadda yadda yadda. Personally, I was overall satisfied with the series. From the end of the first book it made some very bold moves and it worked. What I find people are forgetting about Korra was that this was never supposed to go on like this. It was supposed to be small, short , and sweet. So of course it's going to feel rushed, they only have so much funding. Not to mention it was slatted for cancelation because it first aired on Saturday mornings and Nick orgot that Saturday Morning Cartoons are dead. So for Nickelodeon to agree to pull it off the air and put in online was astounding. For the direction it was heading in it was appropriate (death, violence, mature topics, etc.). It was a kids' show with loads of promise and a huge fan base. Putting it online, I felt, was a way the integrity of LoK can remain intact. I mean... KorrAsami, man. It happened right in front of us! I mean, I watched the finale and I just finished watching all of Eureka Seven again... and MLP and stuff.........*fans self with his hand* I'm just filled with so much emotion! *sniffsniff* Back to the point I was trying to make, LoK has raised the bar for Children's Entertainment. Mindless comedy doesn't have to sell a cartoon. Even children deserve good thought provoking storytelling with real life themes (adult themes wasn't a good term for this).
Also, if you haven't heard, a childhood giant did not make it into 2015 with us. Christine Cavanaugh (voice actress who played Chuckie Finster, Dexter, Bunnie Rabbot, Babe, and many more) passed away earlier in December. It was very very sad news. Her voice rings in my head clear as day. Such a talent. She will dearly be missed.

Anyway, 2015 is going to be great. I graduate this year and hopefully I'll start working in my field as well. A lot of big things for my 27th year on this planet.
