So it's a new year.
The previous one has passed much like every other one did, with a bang as much as with a whimper. For a while here, it was sodding cold, and I mean real proper brass monkey weather. Right now it's barely below zero, and instead of snow we've got rain and ice. Seriously, I could skate down my driveway.
Our family has three cars... and for a while, that three went down to one. Some twat bint decided to spang my SO's car in the bumper, and now it's probably going for scrap. At the same time, our Eldest's much-beloved Ford decided that a few days before xmas was the right day to die in a friend's driveway.
Knock fucking wood that my car, several years younger but also plagued by a few irritating little issues, won't do anything stupid and drink the automotive cool-aid. Sheesh.
In terms of actually writing, well... I still haven't finished my Chrysalis vs. Hearth's Warming story. If I don't finish it soon, I might just leave it altogether.
I've also been feeling incredibly tired all the time, not sure what to do about that one.
How did all your new years' go?
Been stuck at home since tuesday We usually don't get much cold weather here, but when we do everything freezes in a surreal way sometimes. Usually most of our ice is on the side of vertical surfaces rather than on the flat ones because of the wind. Walking around yesterday I saw some icicles that were "hanging" at an angle. Like seriously, here's a view of the tree outside my window...

New Year's went O.K.. Didn't really do much other than watch a couple T.V. marathons (Dr. Who and The Three Stooges), play Super Smash Bros., and read ponyfics.
Here's hoping that your car lasts and that you find more energy.
Nobody here even observes New Year's.
Good luck with the car issue.
For me, the new years was quiet, a bit reflective. While, in perspective, things are far from bad, I'm still a ways from where I want to be, and the path to getting there is not entirely clear.
