The Fading World chapter 3 is up! · 8:31pm Jan 1st, 2015
Happy new year, my wonderful readers! I spent last night fending off drunks at my local 24/7 Good Burger, but I hope you guys had a better time with lots of drinking and the like.
There is a new chapter of my excellent dark adventure fic, The Fading World, up now. It may not show on your feed since I've posted two chapters today (to avoid either a two-day wait or having to post every single chapter at one in the morning GMT), but it's up and ready to read. Have at it!
I have no idea what the crossover is - and I'm not going to learn until this finishes - but this is a better drug than schadenfreude and a sugar high, and I'm hooked.
Damn shame it's being passed by because it's an obscure crossover. Works quite well without prior knowledge. Makes it much more mystical and allows one to create their own imagery/world building alongside the reading, as opposed to being chained by the restraints of 'canon'.
So there's going to be a latter chapter today? Or do you mean the one posted last night?

2694261 Sorry, I'm a bit confused. I was aware of the chapter that just went up. You mentioned we might not notice it in our feeds, because you were posting two chapters today. Was the chapter just posted the first, with more to come today? Or was the second chapter(which, for me, was published around 7:00 PM last night) the first, and this was the second? Sorry for the trouble!

Ahh, I'm on GTM. Chapter 2 was posted in the wee hours of this morning for me, not today. No more chapters until 24 hours time.

I'm not sure how "obscure" Fate/Zero is so much as it's not something a ton of Chuck's typical readers are into. The fact that it's an anime alone, not to mention technically a prequel anime at that, makes it hard to suss out. It's actually atypical for Chuck too- I'm the anime addict in the relationship. I just happened to convince him we needed to watch it.
When we're finally done with this wild ride of the story, anyone interested in getting into the source material may feel free to hit me up for directions on where best to consume.

Knowing a bit more doesn't really turn me towards it any more than I was before. The story is like crack, because I like the AU feel to it, but I can't get into shows that easily. Ah well. Knockout job on it though.
