Well I had hoped to finish After Midnight by the end of the year, unfortunately I didn't count on spending half the month sick in bed. I have been working on it though, and I will have the next chapter out very soon. Then there's just two more chapters left for this one which should go rather quickly as I've planned the ending of this story very thoroughly.
In any case, it won't be long now. I may even finish it over this weekend as I'll probably have a lot of free time.
Then I have to decide what I want to do next. There's of course more coming in the Midnight Star multiverse including the third and final story of the main series and a few small side stories that take place in between. But there's also the next story in the Alicorn Imperium universe which features a canon character I haven't really done too much with as it's protagonist. Spoiler, it's Apple Bloom. (Art Below) And there's also one more story that would be all new and my first real attempts at a more playful and comedic story titled "Not Dead Yet." That one I've actually got a chapter and a half written and it's only six or seven chapters long.
That is of course the other reason my writing can sometimes take a while; I never can focus on just one thing for very long. I'm always writing in whichever story I feel like at the time, and sometimes I don't even write the stories in order. I have a couple chapters written already from the middle of Midnight Star and the Father of Light, for example.
As I said before though, I won't be posting anything new until I get After Midnight done. It won't be long now, thanks for your patience.
