Happy New Year everyone. 2015 is upon us and now we can say goodbye to 2014. This was... a weird year for me. It marked my twentieth year of existence and brought about some big changes, some good, some bad. Any way, in the spirit of the new year I thought I'd mark what 10-year-old me was like versus 20-year-old me.
10-Year-Old Me:
Favorite Food: Nacho Hamburger Helper with tortilla chips and sour cream
Favorite Movie: The Spongebob Squarepants Movie
Favorite Book: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Favorite Show: The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy
Favorite Superhero: Spiderman with Batman/Batman Beyond as a close second
Favorite Video Game: Pokemon Red (probably)
20-Year-Old Me:
Favorite Food: I guess a really rare steak or a loaded up burger (honestly I'm not that picky and like a lot of things)
Favorite Movie: Psycho (original version. Death to the Vince Vaughn remake!)
Favorite Book: American Gods
Favorite Show: Game of Thrones (even if the books are better. Though bonus points for Peter Dinklage awesomeness.)
Favorite Superhero: Batman (Though the new female Thor could replace him. I loved her character in issue #2, but I haven't read the other issues yet. Also, Spiderman dropped because of, One More Day.
Favorite Comic Series: two way tie between the Alan Moore run of Swamp Thing and Neil Gaiman's Sandman. (But if you twisted my arm I'd say Swamp Thing for the luxury of, and I'm not shitting you here, underwater lake vampires)
Favorite Video Game: Persona 4
Who knows what the next decade of my and all of our lives will bring. Here's hoping it's everything we could ever hope it to be.
