It's early fall in Equestria. The fields are yielding their crops, the leaves are turning yellow, and a certain showmare has decided it's high time to honor her promise and come spend some time with her loving marefriend.
"I can't help it, you just excite me. And I haven't seen you for so long!"
"Twilight, it's been less than two months…"
Unfortunately, that means returning to Ponyville, something she had promised to never do.
"So the so-called 'Great and Powerful' Trixie tries to sneak back into Ponyville. You got a lot of nerve trying that with me around."
"Where's the money, Trixie?"
"Nonsense. I had to figuratively turn ponies inside out to get a good reaction from them. You? You turn the adorable little princess to jelly just by existing. Color me impressed!"
It's time to reunite with new friends and old, face down the past, and embrace the future. Getting some well-deserved vacation and some private time with her favorite princess is a nice bonus.
Unfortunately, things never turn out quite the way you plan them, and Trixie will soon have to face a part of herself she never expected to deal with… along with the last pony she expected for the role.
"You've really changed, Trixie."
"And you haven't, Lyra. Still the 'Heartbreaker', huh?"
"Don't look at me, Trixie! I'm hideous!"
"No, Twilight… you're beautiful."
"Believe me, selling blood isn't the most painful thing Trixie's done to survive."
"One of us! One of us! We accept you!"
"Ever wonder why only pegasi and earth ponies participate in the Equestrian Games?"
"Funny thing about loyalty. I can't just pick and choose what I want to be loyal to."
"Silly Twilight. Both Trixies were fake from the very beginning."
"But I kissed you! It was real!"
"What is real and what is fake is up for me to decide. After all, Trixie is the greatest magician in Equestria!"
"What did you do to Octy, girl?! Ever since she got back from Manehattan, she's been… weird!"
"Applejack deserves it, and so much more. She's had it good for too long."
"Answer me, dad! Who's Silver Lining, and what happened to mom?"
"Dashie, there's a lot I've never told you…"
"You can't hide anything from me, dragon. Being Twilight Sparkle's assistant means the world to you."
"Cosdarnit, girl! Dontcha trust me?"
"It's not a matter of trust!"
"The difference between us, Cheese, is that I'm the pony who knows which cupcake has the poison."
"No, Pinkie. The difference between us is that I'm the pony who has the antidote."
"I don't like abusing my royal authority, but only the classified archives can tell us for sure now. If it's true, then… Trixie…"
"Don't take this the wrong way, Trixie, but those wings look pretty nice on you."
"Thank you. Let's hope I won't repeat the last mistake."
"You're awfully buddy-buddy with that unicorn, Dash. Didn't she hurt you guys a lot in the past?"
"It's complicated, okay? I thought you'd sympathize, Derpy."
"Well. Trixie supposes she can't dazzle you all with tales of her mysterious past anymore, now that you know everything."
"I still love you, Trixie. No matter what."

Although I'm really hoping a lot of those quotes are made up cause there was some spoilers in there.

Huh. I hadn't looked at your blog before and find myself in a "good news-bad news" situation. The good news? Plans for a sequel. The bad news? Very long ago and possibly abandoned plans.
Well, hopefully it will materialize one day.
