Christmas Eve · 9:29pm Dec 24th, 2014
If you've followed me for long enough, you'll know that I love Christmas. Everything about it, the smells, the decorations, the music, the gifts...just everything. Heck, I don't even really consider myself a Christian, but I love it even so, because I love the ideas of happiness , peace, and brotherhood toward all peoples.
So, from my heart to yours, I would like to wish you all Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a splendid time off from work or school to spend with family, friends, or just by yourself. Because, no matter how you spend this holiday season, what's important is to spend it in the best way possible for you and yours. Whether you're celebrating with a vacation, time at home, working, being on your lonesome, or just going with the flow, have a wondrous holiday and a joyful week of fun and merriment.
To all those, whether celebrating the holiday or not, have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, once more, from me to you. If anyone wishes for a Christmas chat with me today or tomorrow, I'm on Skype with the name toixstory (also shows up as Lynn DeLuna), and am always ready to talk.
Otherwise, I would like to close with a song and a verse from the Bible, found in the Book of Luke, Chapter 2, verses 8-20. As I said, I do not quite consider myself a Christian, but the story is, to me, too beautiful to ignore, and I love the sentiment that comes with it. Enjoy.
8 And in the same area there were shepherds living in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And then an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were very afraid. 10 But the angel said to them, “Listen! Do not fear. For I bring you good news of great joy, which will be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be a sign to you: You will find the Baby wrapped in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly there was with the angel a company of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, and good will toward men.”
15 When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to each other, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see what has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”16 So they came hurrying and found Mary and Joseph, and the Baby lying in a manger. 17 When they had seen Him, they made widely known the word which was told them concerning this Child. 18 And all those who heard it marveled at what the shepherds told them. 19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.
Or, if you prefer a more updated version of the song, Pentatonix does it great:
And a Merry Christmas to you too. Truly it is a wonderful time of year.
Merry Christmas, Toix. And a safe and Happy New Year.
It is my favorite holiday besides Halloween and Thanksgiving, happy holidays to you and have a safe new year!
Merry Christmas!
Happy Christmas to you and all.
