A Christian nerd; probably the only guy you ever met who wanted the Larrymobile to be transformed by the All-Spark. My brother, The Traveler12, is NOT the lamest person you've ever met. Check him out!

Spoiler Alert: Rainbow Rocks, Part Four · 7:43pm Dec 24th, 2014

:duck:: Ah, I see. So Trixie trapped Sunset and the Rainbooms underneath the stage, allowing her band in the finals by forfeit. And...wait, is Trixie playing the same song in the finals as she did in the semifinals?
:pinkiegasp:: Woah, yeah, she is! You'd think a showwoman like her would know better! Meanwhile, the Rainbooms were trapped underneath the stage, arguing and letting their frustrations get the better of them. And you know what? They have no excuse! There was no mind control involved here, and yet they turned on each other in the exact same way they did in the last movie! Did they learn NOTHING?!

:twilightoops:: Oh....wow. You're absolutely right, Pinkie! I'm going to have to look out and make sure that doesn't happen again next time I visit them. Fortunately, though, Sunset picked up my slack during THIS adventure. She stopped the Rainbooms from arguing when she realized that the Dazzlings were beginning to leech off THEIR newly awakened negative energy.
:applejackunsure:: Why DID ya let it get so far anyhow, Twi? Ya shoulda been able ta recognize the signs 'a the Rainbooms fallin' apart. It's happened ta us a couple 'a times before; remember our first fight wit' Discord?
:facehoof:: I....wasn't paying attention to them. My focus was entirely on making the counterspell, not on how the band was performing. Pretty ironic, considering we didn't need the counterspell in the first place.
:applejackconfused: :flutterrage: :pinkiegasp: :rainbowhuh: :raritycry:: WHAT?!
:twilightblush:: Well, the Magic of Friendship has never been one to be forced or "solved." It has to come naturally; trying to write it down in advance was an exercise in futility. I realized that the only way the counterspell was going to work was if we all sang it together as friends, regardless of what song we sang. We almost lost the fight for the entire planet because I was too busy trying to solve something that had no academic answer. Heh...classic Twilight.
:ajsmug:: Well, once our human selves finally figured all that out, Spike, the only one'a them who didn't get captured, managed ta get them out from under the stage. Wit' the help'a....wait, Vinyl Scratch? Why wasn't SHE under the Sirens' control?
:pinkiehappy:: Duh! She never took her headphones off long enough to HEAR the Sirens' spell! Ooh, ooh! And the Rainbooms started to get along again!
:yay:: Oh! The Rainbooms used one of MY songs to go against the Sirens? I'm flattered, even if they're technically human Fluttershy's songs.
:raritywink:: And they're even using some of human Rarity's costumes! Though I might have to have a talk with her sometime about those outfits; that much neon is a bit of an eyesore. I personally would've went with the Daft Punk uniforms. And how were they even going to be heard over the sound of the Sirens?

:rainbowkiss:: So....AWESOME! So, NOW was it time for a REAL, epic, magical Battle of the Bands?!
: Yes, yes it was. Unfortunately, even with the six of us working together, we didn't have quite enough magic to beat the Dazzlings back.
:rainbowhuh:: Aww! So no Giant, Rainbow, Friendship-Macguffin Magic Laser of Doom?
: No, not JUST yet. That didn't come until we realized that Sunset, who had also wielded the Element of Magic, was necessary to complete our attack. So, as the Rainbooms finally fully accepted Sunset into their group, we were finally able to beat the Dazzlings with...
:rainbowkiss:: ...THE GIANT, RAINBOW, FRIENDSHIP-MACGUFFIN MAGIC LASER........of DOOOOOOOOM!!

Okay, when I saw Vinyl's car all I could think of was

2675994 Oh, trust me. You weren't the only one. :pinkiehappy:

2676044 Now THAT is one DJ battle I wanna see! Almost as much as Soundwaves of the Heart

2676065 In all fairness, it was Soundwave's mystique that helped make him so cool. I'd love to see him fleshed out more, but I'm also at least partly glad that the writers look a 'less is more' approach with him.

2677058 Eh true... I DID think the fact he didn't talk at ALL in Prime was a little extreme though.... Though it DID add a certain level of creepy

2677142 Yeah; a struggle a lot of characters seem to go through is simplicity vs complexity. Too little, and your character is a boring skeleton or a cliche. Too much, and you have no idea what to do with them. I'm not sure Shockwave has found his balancing point on that scale yet.
