Writing Three Years Gone · 3:36pm Jun 27th, 2012
So Meet the Pyro is coming out today and for those of you who don't know what that means, basically, I won't be working on Three Years Gone very much in the next couple of days. So I wanted to do something different and talk a bit about how the story of Three Years Gone came about.
I'm not sure how the ideas for some of the big fics like My Little Dashie come about but TYG started as an idea which fermented in my brain for about two weeks. Over those weeks the story grew into an intricate web of conspiracy, action, mystery, and romance. One day I got bored and partially because my friend was in Hawaii I had nothing to do because I'm the most boring person in the history of the entire human race. I started writing my story with no name and no real motivation other than distracting myself from the monotonous schedule of wake up, live, and sleep. I had to name the story so I based the tile off of the title of Season 1 Episode 21 of Heroes which was titled "Five Years Gone". Well, I submitted the story and then had to go out of town the next day because my dad had to have an emergency procedure to keep his colon from bursting (which went great =D) so I watched the release on my phone which I use about once a month.
It went better than I could've expected so I wrote chapter two, Blood and Trust, again titled based off of a Heroes episode. Everything had gone according to plan until I finished chapter three and started chapter four. I wasn't going to have the mystery mare be revealed until the end. Basically my story is completely screwed up when compared to the original plan and it's working out perfectly. I've written a bit of chapter four and I promise it will be the best chapter yet.
Also, by best I mean most confusing.
Until Next Time,
