    Holy Shit, a Blog

I bet you didn't see this coming. Well, maybe you did, I dunno. Regardless, I figured I may as well start putting these up from time to time so those few that still give a shit about my stories can stay updated (leave a comment if you're one of those people).

Now, what you're really here for:

Well guys...

I'm done.

Here's why:

First of all, I'm gonna start by saying that I don't really know where to start. For those of you who still give a shit about Sneeze, don't worry. It will continue. Eventually. Maybe. For those who still give a shit about The Player and the Operator... I dunno. My current schedule isn't allowing for me to make any progress on either story (sorry, Shawn).

I have a lot on my plate at the moment. I have college to work through, I'm trying to find a job, I have a girlfriend, I'm working on enlisting for the United States Marine Corps, and I have other things that I'm much more passionate about. My home life isn't exactly peachy, either. My mother does not make it easy, to say the least, but that's a whole different story.

There are other reasons why I'm leaving. To start, the fandom. Holy shit, guys. What happened? The brony fandom isn't the same as it was when I joined it in the summer after the first season. Back then, it was all about love and tolerance. Now when I look at it, all I see is a bunch of assholes jerking off to cartoon horse porn. Before you go and say "We're not all like that," calm your tits. I know. It's the fact that clop and all the stupid shit that goes on in the featured box seems to be the only way to be noticed around this damn place, and because of that, I haven't been here in ages.

It's not only the bullshit in the featured box, but some of the people too. Some people take this shit way too far. Some people actually worship Celestia and Luna as though they were real goddesses. Some people eat, sleep, and breathe ponies. Some people use ponies as the only reason they get out of bed in the morning. Some people waste so much fucking time on it that they've pulled some kind of veil over their eyes and are nearly blinded to reality by it, almost to the point of delusion. For example, people who actually use the words "everypony," "nopony," and "somepony" in their day-to-day vocabulary. That only makes you look dumb, in my opinion. People say that being a brony is a "lifestyle choice." No it's not. It's a hobby. Being homosexual or being a career criminal is a lifestyle choice. Being a fat, lazy piece of shit is also a lifestyle choice. Some people are god damn creepy. Some people are just plain shitty, inside and out. I recently heard about a fanfiction writer from the United Kingdom who committed suicide due to hurtful comments directed towards him. I haven't seen the comments (and I honestly don't want to), but they must have been pretty fucking brutal to make the poor guy kill himself. And, to those commentors, I have one thing to say: I hope you fucks are proud of what you did. I'm sure some of you actually are. If there are any of you who think that talking shit and saying hurtful things over the internet doesn't hurt, then you're a fucking idiot, plain and simple. I think a lot of us have forgotten that we used to value love and tolerance above all else. When we actually upheld that, this fandom was a pretty fucking awesome place.

Back to the fanfics. I know there are some very good stories out there. I also know that there are equally as many shitty ones. The former, while they are of excellent quality, the writers seem to be very full of themselves about their accomplishments. The latter just get rejected and shunned, some more than others, even if their story is actually good. I've even upvoted some stories with terrible ratings just so I could maybe give that author some hope that maybe they weren't a complete failure at writing stories, despite what the rating system made them think. I was lucky to have recieved the generally positive reception that I got and for that, I am eternally grateful. Did I go around bragging about it? No, it wasn't much to brag about anyway. I know that nobody is the same, and some people would act differently than others, but come on, have some humility. William Somerset Maugham said, "The common idea that success spoils people by making them vain, egotistic and self-complacent is erroneous; on the contrary it makes them, for the most part, humble, tolerant and kind." The attitudes of some of the famous authors on this site really prove him wrong, to say the least.

The fandom may be shit-tier now, but I will always be grateful for the friends -- or should I say, family -- that I've made during my time here. You know who you are. I love each and every one of you and I wouldn't leave you guys even if you wanted me to, mark my words.

I do want to thank SosukeRyou, mexipon3, Rhodesm96, Symphony, Firewire, Crimson ONayl, RainbowsAreMagic, Cheyenne, MADC3, Brightscales, December_Night, kmdude344, AnotherBrony16, danail24, ShadowlessNight, Unknown Quillist, and ChessMaster for commenting on Sneeze and sharing your thoughts on it. I want to thank each and everyone who cared enough to follow my FimFiction profile. You're the best.

I also want to thank Yuki Harima and Biker_Dash for providing inspiration and ideas for the story, and V-Pony for having a hand in the initial creation and letting me scream at him in the comments of his story.

Another thank you to SpaceCommie, for being a nitpicking fuckwad and for giving me someone to be angry at last year. Seriously, fuck you and your Good Grammar Directory.

To finalize, being in this fandom was fun while it lasted, and I'd be a liar if I said I didn't enjoy most of my time here. I'm moving on to bigger and better things. I might come back, I might not. I don't know what's in store for me in the future.

I'm pretty tired... I think I'll go home now.

It was (and hopefully will be again in the future) very fun, dude.
Best of luck to you in your life travels.
You know where to find us if you choose to return.
