I believe that my story, especially the beginning part, is in an unacceptably low quality.
At first I couldn't see what was wrong with it, now after much time has passed, I have reread my beginning chapters and find them wanting and incredibly boring, especially the character Octavo. I feel like there are glaring problems with the story that I must fix.
I have deviated from the initial theme of my story to something that it was never meant to be, to it's detriment
I'm considering a rewrite of Perseverance of the Ancients that will stay true to the HiE that is a slave trope, with a Scifi element thrown in.
I don't believe I've done that well, but I think I know how to make my story many times better
I'm done with college for now, so I will have MUCH more time to write
I wish to apologize and thank everyone who has stuck with the story thus far, or who has turned away from it due to its bad writing, I think I can do my story better justice as a better writer now. I am truly sorry for wasting all your time.

While I agree that there are some things that you could have done better, "especially the character Octavo," I actually rather enjoy the turn it has taken. It feels more... epic than most of the HiE fics I've read.
Do whatever you need to do man.
Are you kidding this fic is fucking awesome and it surprisingly gives me a lot of sespenseful feelings wich I like a lot.
Wait… so the entire story is getting removed? Or are you removing and re-making the chapters one by one?
And besides, it did kind of have a rusty start, but I, for one, REALLY like it! No need to change that! Except, maybe fix a few spelling errors…
And if you're gonna re-do this, can you at least keep the cover picture? I really like it.
