Basic idea about Derpy's bright eyed delimea · 11:17pm Dec 7th, 2014
When I orginnaly started writing this story I wanted to write a Sad/Slice Of Life about Derpy her self. I know how much the fandom loves her adorableness and bubbly personality. So I came up with a basic concept paired with a begnning, middle, and end: Derpy is excited for things to come but comments about her eyes strike her feelings. Derpy is stressed to the point of exhaustion and considers doing 'rash' things. And finally, Derpy is comforted by her friends.
The point of the story is to make you feel bad for her. Which, you obviously should since she is in the right after all. Obvious awkwardness is obvious awkwardness.
It touches on sensitive material like disabilities, stress, and overcoming it. I will admit that I have suffered from stress related problems in the past. But I'm fine now so no need to send a doctor on me.
I added two minor OC's who I think add a certain humanization feeling to Derpy's life. And Lyra, and Bonbon play a certain role in comforting the golden eyed princess whom I try to make as likable and justifiable as possible.
Oh right I forgot to talk about The Doctor.
So, since I ship Derpy and The Doctor (or time tuner as some call him). I thought to make thier romance a subplot in the story. Just imagine having your crush/friend vanish for half a year, come back, and then have him call you a hurtful name. Add that to the, 'I punish Derpy too much pile'.
In the story I picture him as the 'David Tennet' doctor. Since I really haven't watched a lot of 'Matt Smith' aside from 'The name of the doctor', and 'The silver nightmare'. (Don't hate me I haven't spent that much time watching the Matt Smith era of Doctor Who since I don't love it)
Besides I like 'David Tennet' more since his acting in doomsday made me cry. 
I miss Rose Tyler.
Anyway this isn't the first fanfic I have ever written online. But it is my first pony fanfic. I have about two years of experience as a Fanficton writer and I have to say I love Fimficton.net since it is such an improvement from Fanfiction.net. in so many aspects.
