A Funny Thing Happened During My Recent Existence · 3:45pm Dec 4th, 2014
Or, more accurately, a thing happened.
I'm on a new med, and I'm finding out what the side effects (and primary effects) are going to be. Should be interesting and/or fun, in some combinations.
Yay, drugs!
Have you considered keeping a diary of the process as you begin taking them? Not for publication here, of course, but it might be informative.
The pink flying horses are probably not real unless you're watching the show.

I'm keeping track of any notable changes that fall into the potential side effect category (and there's a lot, with this med, sigh). So far I've mostly noticed mild issues, and I think I'm getting some of the intended primary effects. So things are going well at this point.

Actually, most of my hallucinations have been auditory, historically. So Pinkie Pie talks to me less often, is all!
Ahhh, fun!
My wife has just been put on lithium, and she is not enjoying the side effects of that. The primary effects are great, but the side effects, not so much.
Good luck, here's hoping you suffer as few side effects as humanly possible.
Also, 2633420's idea is a good one, my wife uses that to track her mood and the side effects, so that she can objectively look back and see how she was, day to day, rather than relying on her imperfect memory.

Please tell your wife that some random internet woman expressed sympathy? And thank you. :)

Mostly mild things like a hunger increase. I've been on and off antidepressants since around thirteen, so my concern here is really just that I'm escalating from front line medications to "well, this has more side effects but maybe it'll work for you" stuff.
