First, the good news: I've started work on my next project.
Next, some not-so-good news: when it's done, it won't be on FIMFiction, for the simple fact that it isn't a My Little Pony fanfiction.
Rather, it's a short story based on one of the original ideas I talked about in a post some months ago (so many months, in fact, that I can't be bothered to look back over my 400 or so posts to find it again). This is still in the early planning stages, so I haven't a clue how long it will take. I really hope people enjoy the end result, though, particularly since my current plan is to publish it on Amazon to see how my writing fares in the marketplace.
That said, I'm not planning on stopping the production of fanfiction (unless this story REALLY takes off, which would probably require the intervention of the Viral Content Fairy). I still have a few ideas I'd like to try. Still, I promised myself that once Flash Fog was done, I would work on original writing.
Well... good luck! Though not so much good luck that you're taken away from us forever to go live in a mansion writing New York Times bestsellers (unless they're MLP NYT bestsellers, I'll give an exemption for that). :)
Be sure to give us a link once it's up in Amazon, I'm always happy to buy a fanfic author's published work.
Go for it and good luck! One more fish in the pond, so to speak. Let's hope you earn enough money to build a mansion made out of... other... smaller mansions.
