    D&D plans.

So, some time ago I talked about how nice it would be to do a D&D 5e group. Well, I think it's about time to do it. Couple issues, Who is going to play? I'd like to have a group of 3-5 people, and then myself as the DM.

First off, Skype is a requirement.

Secondly, we'd be using Roll20 for the tabletop portions, so you'd have to have an account on that.

    Breezie Speak=Easy

So, I haven't updated in a while, but I swear, I have been getting SOME things done.

Like, for example, working on the Breezie Language that I touched on in Falling Feathers a while back.

The most difficult part was trying to figure out how to do the verb conjugations, but when I remembered the whole point was simplicity, I figured out what I want to do with it.

    Lol Internet

So, In case you haven't noticed, I haven't updated since that last chapter I made. Well, that's because I don't have home internet. I'm using my phone to set up a mobile hotspot. While I have unlimited data, and don't have to worry about overages, I don't have unlimited high speed. So, while I still have high speed, I can do whatever I want, but once it's out......

Judging from the title of this post, you probably think I'm sick. In a way, you're right. I live in this mystical place called 'Canada' where around this time of year it gets cold, and windy, and the skies are grey, and like so many other mammals, we begin our hibernation. Oh, we still get up and go to work, (in fact hours at my job have picked up a lot, so every two weeks I start foaming at the mouth when I see how big my paycheck is), but all we WANT to do is curl up in bed, with warm blankets, fuzzy pajamas, and eat. Chocolate, chicken, turkey, (not turkey day turkey, Canada has Thanksgiving in October) and as many high sugar, high fat foods as we can pack in our chipmunk cheeks to store fat for the winter, and to try and gain a little bit of energy and motivation so we can still go about our daily tasks.

So between my hibernation, working, and trying Civ 5 for the first time and becoming hopelessly addicted, I haven't been updating all that much.

Which is bad.

I know exactly what I want to write, right down to how I want to word it, but when I sit down to do it I just feel like laying down again, or doing something else.

SOOOOOOOOO to try and get out of my funk, and also by way of making it up to you guys, I intend to write one of those 'one shot' things. The last one I wrote was 'Flutter's Shy' which turned out pretty well, so I've decided to do one again. It'll be winter themed, and best of all NOBODY will sing 'Let it go' or 'Do you wanna build a snowman?' After that I'll get back to writing Falling Feathers, and possibly throw out a chapter of Song of the Moon while I'm at it, since It's not on hiatus, I just haven't figured out where to go with it.

I feel you. I got allergies and asthma, which gives me symtoms like the cold or flue, without the benefit of being able to rest through the symptoms.

So you're new at Civ V. We can discuss this in greater detail in PM if you need advice, assistance, or guidance for I am a pretty decent Civer myself. Unless you have played the past versions of Civ, you will have much to learn my young Padawan. :moustache:

Now that you mention Civ5...
*one more turn intensifies*

2629284 Nah, I got the hang of it right away. Unfortunately when I'm normally awake, there's nobody ever playing, so I have to play the bots and they do..... strange.... things. One thing I've noticed is odd start bias as well. I know certain civs have a start bias to different locations geographical features. (Celts to forest, Venice to coastline) and then some civs that SHOULD have a start bias, England, for example, don't. England is a maritime civ that's speciality is naval prowess, and I can only get coastline 1 of every 5 starts, so I'm basically forced to go liberty for the early settler so i can settle a coast, (if the FRIGGIN barbarians don't capture my settler) And lets see YOU try and get great lighthouse in 20 turns (before competitor gets it) in a brand new city.

2629315 You know you are overly dramatizing this, right? What your settings and difficulty? If you got this in the bag, then why do you complain about easily remedied things?

Fun fact: Right up to the early 20th century, large numbers of Frenchmen did in fact, hibernate. Given that in winter there is little to do, many French peasants would enter a semi-catatonic state, sleeping for 23 hours a day, occasionally getting up to do important tasks. This stopped after the First World War.

So, do feel free to hibernate. :trollestia:

Who knows, maybe you'll get inspired and become compelled to update every single one of your fics. Here's hoping you update 'Summoned'. :trixieshiftright:

Hey, a pony can dream, can't he?

Fex

you think Civ 5 is bad? Try Europa Universalis 4 way worse

Well, at least you haven't inexplicably dropped from the face of the site for no apparent reason...

Canadian winters are why we put vitamin D in our milk. They're cold, dark and give everyone the great need to do absolutely nothing.

On the upside, all the good movies come out about this time of year!

2629339 I said i got gameplay in the bag. I'm playing a 12 player match on prince difficulty, raging barbarians on, normal speed, start bias on, normal personalities.
