Blog: Sharing Some Great Art! · 7:43am Nov 27th, 2014
I've been using these Blog Posts as author's notes for so long, that I feel the need to start em off with a "Blog:"!
Anyways, I thought I'd start these blogposts off with a little art! Just some stuff I really like, not all of it MLP related.
To be honest, it's mostly just webcomics. But it's quality. WE GO!
Slice of Life

Thought I should start off with some of the pony stuff before easing into the other stuff. To be honest, my taste in art isn't that obscure or great or anything, I'm sure nearly everybody's heard of Egophiliac's work before. In fact, most of this stuff is pretty popular. Think of this as my ball-fondling of the collective blowjob.
Why I chose to bring up blowjobs here, I have no idea. I couldn't think of anywhere more inappropriate.
Because I'm highlighting this work for its absolute charm and innocence! As with her previous work, Moonstuck, Ego really knows how to pull off lovable charm in her art. It feels like the natural progression of mlp, as a sort of look into the future. And it's pretty heartwarming to see all the characters and how they're doing now. Like a jump into the future, if you would.
And the two main characters, Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake are fantastic. The whole series has a sort of "Calvin and Hobbes" feel to it, capturing a sort of childhood magic. It feels like a natural evolution of Ponyville in a couple of years, and the story's heart and humor stays intact.
Currently on a super long hiatus, but that shouldn't stop you from checking it out!
And Inconvenient Trixie.
Megarexetera

My god. This is the quintessential humanized pony art in my opinion. Equestria Girls completely captures what it wants to be, but Megarexetera absolutely excels as everything. She has a sort of unique style when drawing humanized ponies. It's always fantastic.
To be honest, most of the reasoning behind making this art blog was to promote her. She deserves much more love! (to be offered by the writer with 15 views per blog on average) Well, anyways, she's great.
EDIT: If I want to promote anyone, I should probably get the name right, huh?
Ask Gaming Princess Luna

Don't usually follow many ask blogs, but this one's great! Art, gaming, ponies, it's alll good. RIP Molestia I mean it's not like I was a big fan or anything, wasn't my thing, but nonetheless Why am I still writing

Now for one I found recently! Not even that big of a fan of the ship, but I can't deny this cuteness.
Cuteness is like a ladder. Climb it or get fucked.

Very great stuff. Wish I found it sooner!
Luna After Dark

It has a great style and an even greater sense of humor to match! A bit of a sarcastic, biting tone. I love askblogs like this!
Anyways, enough of pony (lies, one can never have enough pony). Time for some webcomics.
Nedroid

No words can describe my love for it. It's surreal, and relishes in its simplicity. The characters are hilarious, and the comedy makes you do a double take.
Whomp!

It's just quality. Want laughs, a bit of weeaboo, and a big heaping pile of awkward social situations? Look no further!
Brawl in the Family

It's recently completed a 600 comics run! It's one of the few good webcomics that never betrays what it is, and stays consistent all the way through. The penultimate Nintendo webcomic in my book.
Hark a Vagrant!

A classic. If you love history, or just good comedy, read it!
Anyways, I think that's enough for now. If you're still reading this, thanks for sticking around, and I hope you checked some of 'em out! Next blog post, favorite episodes time. Maybe some kind of ranking system!
