    Season 9 Retrospective

Warning: Season-wide spoilers abound. Proceed with caution.

I need to write this while the emotions of the finale are still fresh in my mind. Though the stories will continue in the comics (and countless fanfics, I'm sure), this is truly the end of an animation era. So, as a final season, did it go out with a bang, or a whimper? Follow me below the break to see my take.

Random Thoughts: The Beginning of the End

Warning: Spoilers abound. Proceed with caution.

Mama pajama, that was a rush. I really feel like something was rekindled here. Season 8 was alright, but I will admit it didn't have the same energy that made me fall in love with this show. This episode, however, had that energy in spades. Follow me below the break as I just gush a bit on what an epic season opener this was.

    Season 8 Retrospective

Warning: Season-wide spoilers abound. Proceed with caution.

Welp, that was fun, huh? I know for most of you, the season ended earlier thanks to the Australian broadcast, but I didn't have the luxury of checking that out. Also, I'd rather do things by the book.

    Random Thoughts: The Washouts

Warning: Spoilers abound. Proceed with caution.

Let me just start off by saying great googily moogily, what a weekend this was! I thought Season 7 had scheduling problems, but this was just insane! Well, at least it's still trackable. Unlike some other shows I can mention *cough*TheLoudHouse*cough*.

Huh. So there are two hundred users on this website who like what I do here. That's neat.

...

Okay, maybe a younger and less-wise me would be dancing around like an idiot at this accomplishment, but I'd like to think that I've matured since my early days on the internet. Still, I suppose I should do something to thank you guys for supporting my work. I remember stating in a previous blog that I had three solid ideas waiting in the wings. One of those ideas, Reformation Buddies, is the one I'm writing right now. I'm betting you guys would like to know what the other two are, eh?

Well, I suppose in light of this development, there's no harm in showcasing some teasers. So, here you go:

Trial by Kinship
A Romantically Comedic Adventure
Starring: Spike, Little Strongheart, Big Macintosh, Braeburn, OCs aplenty

After the event of Deserts and Dragons, the former Bull's Eye Gang is struggling to follow the path of righteousness and nobility. So far, they haven't been having much luck. Noticing this, Little Strongheart decides to invite a special noble dragon to be the guest of honor at the annual Dragon Dance Festival. That guest, of course, is none other than Spike.

However, it seems that the Dangerfield of Dragons can't catch a break on his day off. The festival is crashed by a gang of dragon poachers who make off with many of the guests as well as Little Strongheart. Spike must now lead the rescue, along with the Apples and the rowdy dragon bandits. Oh, and did I mention that one of those dragon bandits thinks that Spike is trying to steal his girl? Yeah, this is gonna be complicated.

Daring Do and the Tiny Tornado
A Comedic Adventure
Starring: Fluttershy, Ms. Cheerilee, Daring Do, The Breezies, OCs

Yeah, you thought Fluttershy was going to have a nice, relaxing day during the events of Three's a Crowd, didn't you? Well, that's where you're wrong. It turns out Daring Do is taking part of the breezie safari, and she unwittingly stumbles upon the evil schemes of a new villain. This villain tries to get her out of the way by turning her into a breezie. Of course, that's not enough to stop Daring Do. If anything, it just ticks her off.

So while Fluttershy and one Professor Windsday help Daring get accustomed to her new body, Daring's bumbling assistant Tailspin (who you may remember from The Do Dilemma) drags a hapless Cheerilee into the desert in order to find a cure. Hijinks ensue for all involved.

And there you have it. A little taste of what's to come. Oh, and since I'm in a pretty good mood (though that could be due to the holidays coming up), I'll throw in a Q&A session for no extra charge. Feel free to ask any questions about the man behind the met hat, just so long as they're not too personal or private. Sorry, but I'm very careful about what information I share online, as most people should be. So with that, the lines are open, and I hope you enjoyed the previews. Thanks again to the two hundred people who have decided to follow this semi-modest bard as he wove his tales of pastel ponies.

Congratulations! You've definitely earned it and I'm excited to read what happens next in your current story and your future stories. Keep up the great work!

Congrats mate, this is certainly long past due.

As for the story ideas, well I can't really rate the first one seeing as how I haven't read Deserts and Dragons, but the second?
