There's an elephant in the room...AND IT BOWS TO ME!!! · 11:08pm Nov 21st, 2014
The above title was an epiphany I had one day joking with some friends about those oh so awkward moments we eventually face yet try our best, and fail, to ignore into oblivion. My idea says if you can't ignore those moments, use them to try and give others a good laugh.
My moments like this start for me by fears when trying a new project in my writing: problems like 'what if this joke falls flat' , 'what if someone mistake the message and takes offence going for the bash now ask later approach' 'what if grammar mistakes interfere and I can't find an editor' or worse 'what if my idea never catches on?'
Well from now on, no more hesitation. My plan? Grab that elephant and enjoy the ride as I hold on for dear life. What matters is finding reaching those few out there willing to see the intent and enjoy the ride along with me. Those that don't care or are looking for a fight? Buck em.
With this pre-new year's resolution in mind, one I intend to stick with thank you, here's a few ideas for the future.
