Very sweet. Good enough that I wish it had been much longer. Liking the romantic pairing of Applejack and Rainbow Dash more and more, but I’m also pretty sure that most of it is just how this particular author writes them. This author is really good at sweet romantic moments.

Another really good story that just didn’t feel much like MLP. This one was closer to generic adventure/fantasy to me. It would have done just as good or been better as original fiction. All of the cool worldbuilding is isolated from the rest of the source material and takes place in a whole other dimension basically. Did have a interesting non-alicorn Twilight Sparkle ascension though, which doesn’t really have any cool results except she can glow if she wants.

I do believe this is the worst fanfic I’ve read to date. Well, I should qualify that. The worst MLP fanfic I’ve read in the last few months. It is okay quality wise, but really heavy handed and Princess Celestia is way out of character. The subject of racism against earth ponies could be a powerful subject, but not here. The reactions to things are unbelievable and it completely ignores the fact that the discrimination shown in the story actually has a pretty good basis for existing. If one of the great fanfic authors tackled this premise it would be a incredibly powerful story, but this author only manages dull and shallow. I think it’s time to stop browsing FimFiction on my own and go back to relying on good reviews and authors I already know for my reading choices.

Bit more raunchy than I expected. Pretty funny though, but a bit too long. I also swear that the punchline of Luna sending them to the moon for privacy is something I’ve read before. Like just a fragment in some other author’s work. Just can’t remember where or when.

Delightful story. Good example at how to lightly weave a fanfic into the events of the source material. Takes place at the grand galloping gala, but you never get the feeling it’s bumping into the show despite the characters actually talking with some of the mane six. The story also shows a love of light-hearted language that is very enjoyable to read. No puns, sadly, or other twisty word games like that. Just amusing bubbly language that never takes itself seriously.
It also uses the idea that the spontaneous song and dance numbers are something that just happens in the world and is an accepted fact of life. With a hilarious version of the best night ever song right near the end that I could easily hear sung as I read it.

If you are an author who wants a more detailed review of a story I've covered feel free to message me. My reviews tend to be fairly light, mostly just reactions to a story right after reading it. I am happy to give a more careful read and reply to anyone who wants more precision and/or feedback.
