Possible title: Cutter
Poster: Person staring bewildered at the "camera", standing two feet in different locations and a wipe in between directly behind him.
Plot synopsis. Person going through a normal life. Several scenes later, starts feeling paranoid, that something is watching him. Over time, the feeling gets more and more prevalent until he sees a ghostly boom mike hovering above him, when he stares at it, it slowly floats backwards until it disappears into a wall. Slow, 360 around him as he starts seeing the flickering images of a movie set. Starts getting panicky, can't go to his job or whatever.
Over time, he gets used to it, but remains extremely twitchy, and his room becomes an utter mess. Becomes an utter recluse, barely says anything personal because they're always watching, why won't they go away, damn it. Somewhat like a darker version of "stranger than fiction." One night, gets mugged. Gets more pissed off than he should be at losing 200 bucks because he figures that somebody is screwing with him. For no apparent reason, there is nobody on the street around him despite clearly hearing traffic and seeing pedestrians minutes before. Wishes he had something to fight back. When mugger turns away to run, he shakes his fist. Fist is off screen. Sudden bang. MC stares dumbly at the pistol he never owned in his hand, and it clearly looks cheaply made, and probably shouldn't even work since its made of plastic. He tosses it away in surprise. It flies offscreen, where it disappears. Another pan, with even more flickering, and even a slight outline where the "frames" are. He realizes he can stick his hand off screen, and can pick things up.
He closes his eyes, reaches out, and grabs his home's doorknob.
Plot development:
Blah blah
Movie ends with the actual actor feeling woozy, bags and bloodshot eyes. Some implication that he was completely healthy the night before somehow. Gets out of bed to go the the bathroom to wash his face. In the mirror, however, is the "character" from the movie, who has figured out how to send his entire self off screen. Reaches offscreen one final time, with bags and bloodshot eyes, for the pistol he pulled out the very first time (maybe a easter egg shot of the gun not even having a magazine loaded at this point) and aims at the actor with a crazed grin. Whispers, "I'm free, bitches."
White flash.
Black.
That sounds interesting.
You'll want to change the title though. The word "cutter" outside of a nautical context generally refers to a person who cuts themselves compulsively, and I don't think that's what you're going for here.

Everything hyphypothetical anyways.
I'm bad with naming things.
