Alrighty, you asked for it, so beware of what you wish for because you're getting it!

First off, let me get the big, obvious allusions out of the way.

That's it folks, it's all over.

This last chapter title is taken from Macbeth.

I had a ton of fun writing this story, and looking back at the first few chapters I can definitely see where I improved as a writer and where I still need to improve.

    Real Life Scare

So I know I said I wanted to talk about the paths the story might have taken for these last few chapters. But as it is wont to do real life happens. I happen to live in Colorado. In fact not that terribly far from Aurora. I'm safe, my family is safe, so far as I know my friends are all safe. Talk about scary though. My co-workers and I were toying with the idea of going to a midnight

    William Tell Overture!

We are heading full tilt towards the conclusion of the story so I think the musical analogy is appropriate.

This week's title comes courtesy of King John.

For the last act of the story I'd like to talk about the what ifs of my what if story.

The Greatest Title Ever! · 6:01pm Jun 22nd, 2012

So this week I totally stole my chapter title from the Comedy of Errors.

Fun fact for the day: It is in fact bad to move someone after they are injured. Particularly if they appear to have a neck or back injury. In Applejack's case I imagine it would keep her wounds open and risk blood loss and all the bad stuff that comes with it.

The water in the bowl scene is of course inspired by the water in the glass scene from Jurassic Park. If you've never seen the movie or read the book your life is a sad pale incomplete shadow of what it should be. Go fix this now.

I wanted to make the Ursa Minor scene a real group effort because one it shows how they've grown as a team, and two to remind us all that Twilight in the story isn't as powerful as Twilight in the show and she needs her friends much, much more than show Twilight does.

And yes, I was mean enough to make them go through all that and still not give them their cutie marks.

One conclusion from this chapter I take away. I would need to be in a particularly severe state of alcohol intoxication, yes I am over 21, before I could ever write clop. That whole passage just felt weird to write, and while it was amusing I don't think I'd want to do a whole story of that sort of thing.

Rarity and Pinkie's flashback is a real homage to the dangers of claim jumping, bandits, and the various other dangers of mining in the old west. Those guys worked long and hard for not a lot of money.

Lastly, I'm looking at my outline and wondering just how long is this story going to be. It was originally plotted at 20 chapters. But depending on how I have to stretch and cut in Act IV to avoid 10,000 word monster chapters it could end up between 23-25 chapters. Probably right around 100,000 words. Just an update on how many more times I have to con you back to do more reading before you're free.
