I May Have Over did it. (Lazarus Update) · 4:07am Nov 13th, 2014
Have any of you had those moments when you start writing and you can't stop? You plan the perfect spot to end a chapter but instead of stopping you keep going?
Yeah I had that problem, except it's a little different. I planned to have first contact at least fifty paragraphs ago. Now I'm writing what I think a political meeting/debate thing goes... yeah might not be the greatest of parts but it's only there to shed some light on how what's left of the human government works. If you could even call it a government in the least.
So yeah what I originally thought was only going to be 7K+ words is literally on the edge 10K+... Whoops.
I might need to split the chapter in half.
What do you guys think, should I split them into two and upload on separate days? Or should I finish what I have now and just dump forty pages worth of exposition, cliff hangers, characterization, and foreshadowing on you all? Oh and politics which may or may not be how it really works?
Lemme know down below.
That's a tough call. Splitting it would probably make the reading easier though!
Split it then post one, wait a week and post the other. It'll give you time to recuperate and it will make it seem like you've been more productive.
Also you may want to change your title to "I may have over did it 'again'" seeing as you almost always do this.
Splitting does make it easier to read, but sometimes you need the whole thing to paint the full picture.
Pfft! I love long fics, including long chapters!
I powered through Fallout: Equestria in 2 weeks while working days AND evenings!
I vote for everything at once.
Well. Thay're both going to be a b*tch to edit, so I could go either way really. Just make sure you don't jump perspectives too much.
Split them, because if you don't, we editors are gonna have a bad time.
Shove it all in my face. All at once. I beat Fallout Equestria in 3 days, this is nothing.
