Good morning, all!
As some of you may know, I'm a really big stickler for detail in my stories. I try to hold back on work until I know it's the absolute best I can make it, and that extends to all aspects of the story, art among those. The few things I'll be releasing in a while fall under that criterion I've set up, and so I find myself once again on the lookout for new artists that I might be able to commission covers from.
I feel it gives something back to the fandom if I sponsor an artistic piece, plus the uniqueness of the image tends to draw in more people than you might think. My first big story, Lines and Webs, didn't get particularly well-known until I had Hinoraito do the coverart. This being before Hino's prices went a bit above my price range.
So, if any of you know of any good pony artists out there who are open for commission, let me know! I'd prefer them to have experience in workin with brighter colors, as I've noticed stories with more "pop" in the covers tend to perform a bit better. Plus, most of the stuff I'm writing is going to be fairly lighthearted anyway, so it would match thematically.

Not only will the ones who link me artists that I end up commissioning be privy to information about the next book in the Sunfall series, I will go so far as to write a short (3-5,000 word) fic on a subject of the winner's choice! I'm currently commissioning a profile picture from this guy: http://toonbat.deviantart.com/ his stuff is super bright and poppy, and his commissions pretty inexpensive, but I don't know if it's the style you're looking for. (Warning, he also does (generally humorous) NSFW).

First one I'll toss at you is Pia-sama (some NSFW) , although I'm sure how much it will be if you trying to have more than 2 characters. I believe she is still taking commissions.

Two of my favorite artists. Both can draw eye catchingly realistic fare. Both do commissions. (I'm 90% sure)

Honestly, there is no shortage of pony artists you can turn to. As much as I would love to have a short story of my choice written, I know there is a Fimfiction group around here somewhere that matches up artists and writers, and you should probably check that out.
Anticularpony also does commissions for a reasonable amount. He does Ask Sunshine and Moonbeams if you want a look at his work.
I could suggest myself. I'm not the best artist, but I won't ask much and if the picture is interesting enough I could even do it for free. The only problem is that I'm not sure if I have the time now, especially since I don't know the details of the picture. If it's something simple (One or two characters with a simple background) I may have the time, but if it's something more complex (Four or more characters and a more detailed background) I don't think so.
Of course, there are a lots of better artists than me, but if you want something cheap and you are ok with something not so detailed, I could do it.
