Ran into a snag · 4:03pm Nov 7th, 2014
Okay, as some of you know, I was gone for two years doing a mission for my church. And so during that time, my mom had commandeered my computer, leaving me with only an AlphaSmart Dana to do my writing on, but yesterday, it started malfunctioning. So unless one of you know what's going on with my AlphaSmart (it won't proceed from the introduction logo at the beginning and it doesn't appear to be charging), my writing had come to a grind, if not to a halt while I try to figure out the cause of it or ordering another AlphaSmart, ad it doesn't help that I also busted up my fingers on one hand from work.
So if anyone has a clue to know what's going on with my AlphaSmart and how I can fix it, please tell me for It'll be very grateful as I had the device for a long time and would be sad to depart from it after all the things we've been through.
Thank you for understanding and have a great day,

The sad part is they don't make AlphaSmart products anymore (discontinued for over a year now). I tried looking for support information about it online and it's practically non-existent. Now if you want to buy one on eBay, I can tell you how to do that . I don't know if I would pay money to buy something that isn't supported anymore though. I'd say check on eBay for a used tablet of some kind.
2579632 A tablet would be nice, but I'm the old school fashion kind of guy (as well as a bit of an oldman as I was born right before the computer age) for I like to have the feel of the keys under my fingertips... I just don't know in the end, I can see the pro's and con's to both using a tablet and/or an Alphasmart. But all I can say right now is that I don't have any money and an AlphaSmart is very cheap nowadays, heck I even found an AlphaSmart with nearly, if not all of its gear for less than 30 bucks on EBay.
I'll think about it though, thanks for the tip

I understand that. I learned how to type on an IBM Selectric. I think there will always be a small part of me that enjoys hearing/feeling a click when I type. You really don't get that on a tablet, and most of today's keyboards are woefully inadequate.

I just want to get back to writing as soon as possible
